There's a new gluten-free bakery in Portland. The baguette (the only bread I tried) was amazing!!! Open Original Shared Link -
This is sorta hot topic item, but...have you had your thyroid checked? www.stopthethyroidmadness.com
-
You look hypo to me. Do you feel hypothyroid? You should get free T3 test and antibodies for a more comprehensive look. Then maybe post them here in the Labs section: www.stopthethyroidmadness.com/community and take a look here: www.stopthethyroidmadness.com Good luck and take care! ~K EDIT: Sorry Georgie, I just read what you wrote.....
-
That sounds just awful, you are in my thoughts as well. I'm sorry! ~K
-
Oh...totally! That guy is a JERK! Find a new doctor...preferably not an endo.
-
Hi Deb, yes, the antibody levels can change at any time. You have high antibodies when there is an attack on your thyroid. I am definately not an expert on this, but it's great that you are doing research! Good luck! ~K

Seems pretty common. I'd like to know the link myself. Having undiagnosed celiac for as long as many of us do, I think, puts us at risk for other autoimmune diseases to wreak havoc. Just a theory. ~K

Hypothyroid with adrenal fatigue! Seriously. AF can make your labs look "not that bad" however, you tested positive for Hashi's which pretty much makes any other lab values moot. I'd get your adrenals checked ASAP, you sound just like me (or how I was, anyway). The temps bouncing all around is definately AF. I'd get an email from an ex-BF and my temp...

I agree with Goergie. That endo can "F" off. Get a new doc. Maybe an naturpath? Check for doctors in you rarea that are from this list... Open Original Shared Link

It isn't likely. You may have to beg...however my naturopathic doctor knew the strong connection between autoimmune diseases, so perhaps if you had the right kind of doctor...

Go to www.stopthethyroidmadness.com There is a page on recommended labwork. You must get all of the tests in order to diagnose or rule out hypothyroidism (symptoms are important too!) At the very least: TSH * Free T4 and Free T3 (note the word

ARCHIVED Being Cold Once On gluten-free Diet?
Ksmith replied to janelyb's topic in Related Issues & Disorders
I second that. Achy muscles is where it all began for me. I couldn't figure out why all my muscles were sore like I had worked out or something. I was 24 years old and groaning upon standing up. If you think this might be the issue (although it could be iron, too), you should check out www.stopthethyroidmadness.com On that website you can read about... -
I do wish you luck! Make sure he tests for the thryoid antibodies as well as free T3 and free T4. You may want to look into adrenal fatigue as well--this can cause your thyroid number to appear normal in labs. When you get your labs results back, you can always post them (include the ranges) in the forum at stopthethyroidmadness and they'll help you interpret...

I second that...get your thyroid checked! Make sure they do the proper testing too. FOr more info. on the types of labs to get done go to www.stopthethyroidmadness.com The website has helped me feel normal again!

ARCHIVED Some More Thryroid Questions-rather Specific
Ksmith replied to a topic in Related Issues & Disorders
Sara, You really need to get adrenals tested. If your adrenals are bad, all the armour in the world won't help you out until you get adrenals fixed up. You should really get on stopthyroidmadness website. They know what they're talking about and way more experience than most of us. -
Huh...I (this post starter) definately get that pain on my right side up and into my right shoulder. It's worse for sure when I get glutened, but sometimes I just get the pain when I'm just not feeling well (often times with digestion, acid reflux issues). I'm definately going to look into Spasm of the Sphincter of Oddi. I've never even heard of that....

ARCHIVED Corvallis Oregon gluten-free Bakery
Ksmith replied to Granny Garbonzo's topic in Gluten-Free Foods, Products, Shopping & Medications
OMG....keep me posted! I go down there all the time! -
Yes, at a health food store (or natural food section in regular grocery)--good brands are Celtic, Redmond's Real Salt, or Himalayan Pink. If you can't find those ones...look for one that lists the trace minerals and their concentration in the salt. And make sure it isn't refined sea salt.
