  1. Submerge them in boiling canola oil for a few minutes, then dip them in Anne's Ranch. Trust me.
  2. First, it is NOT a mix. It is a prebreaded product. I wrote them a number of letters about why their ads needed a bit of work, because I was having issues with product recognition. I actually started tuning into that channel just in hopes of catching their ads to I could get their website. (I think it was the hallmark channel, little house on the parie...
  3. For anyone who doesn't know and is reading this thread, many Vodkas commerically avalible are not made from Potatoes, but are actually grain alcohol.
  4. Yes, it's very important to understand people's motivations. (Now, it's also important to know that they aren't always honest about their motivations.) For example, many people think a phobia is a 'silly fear.' Like with the woman who was terrified of eating fish. Everyone thought it was silly, until someone asked her about it, and it turned out she wasn...
  5. Tiff, do you agree with the sensation feeling like everything inside 'drops two inches'? or is it different for you?
  6. Hi Laura, I do appreciate the link, but I was hoping for something a bit more detailed? Can anyone help?
  7. I keep hearing on here that MSG is gluten-free. On the other hand, I've seen this page, Open Original Shared Link which says it isn't. I haven't gotten a good answer from those who say MSG is gluten-free on the origin of their information. (Note the page is about the dangers of MSG, so one might consider it biased. That doesn't mean it isn't true.) Personally...
  8. I've dated a number of girls with eating disorders. Now, if someone is puking to get rid of gluten, I'm sure it's an eating disorder, but I don't think it's one of the normal ones. (is that what she's doing?) It's usually an issue of either unrealistic body image or in somecases a realistic one and wanting body changes too quickly. But the motivation is...
  9. I did a little digging on blue cheese once, nothing conclusive, but I found a page on the subject. Someone had written to (I beleive it was sargento) to ask if they had gluten in their blue cheese. The resonce was they they bought their cheese mold, and cheesemold contents are trade secrets, but that the way they made the blue cheese was to put a...
  10. Now, I'm not sure if I'm a celiac or an allergy, but I usually start to feel ill, maybe fourty minutes after I start. IE, If I eat out and I eat something I ought not to have, I usually can tell as we walk out the door how fast we need to drive home. It's sort of like everything is fine, then there is a chain reaction in the intestines, which feels like...
  11. I agree with Nini about the trouble with Doctors, but on the other hand I must say that under the above condisions, how would you ever know if you don't have it?
  12. I LOVE their sausages. They aren't very well located relative to me, so I don't go there often, only if I'm making pizza. It's the only place I can find sausage that isn't filled to the brim with MSG.
  13. I'm pretty sure they things under discussion are like mini burritos.
  14. Yes, I'd like to see the whole world broken down and rebuild, but it's better not to worry too much about it. You just stress yourself to flinders and nothing gets done.
  15. Isn't it life altering enough when they do show up?
  16. You know, I'm still not as clear as I would like to be on the differences between intolerances, allergies, and celiac. I read a peice or two, and whilst I pick many things up quickly, this hasn't been one of them. Can anyone give or point me to a good break down of the differences?
  17. It won't happen. But imagine if it did..... The implications for gluten free eating...
  18. ARGH! that must be what set me off the other day!!!! Gracious, you think you checked all your labels....
  19. I am brought to understand that in my childhood I tolerated milk well, but I do not remember. I never really liked it, and didn't drink nearly as much as I perhaps should have, but I have always had reactions to wheat. (celiac? allergic?) but certainly reactions. I'm thinking of using lactaid as a possible short step to recovery, so I have to give up less...
  20. Now, Maybe this is a silly question but.... I am brought to understand by the people on this board that many people going gluten free are lactose intolerant in the short term, do to the fact that the tops of intestinal villi are the parts that product the enzyme that breaks down lactose. That enzyme is called lactase. Now, I may have that problem...
  21. There's better people here then me to answer your questions, but I'll toss out a few things until they show up to tide you over. With oats, we don't really know if oats would be alright, the trouble is that oats are almost always testing positive for gluten, but that's due to cross contamination with other things. They might be ok if you could get safe...
  22. I'm not much of a cook, but my family helps. The current progect is the perfect home made gluten-free breaded chicken strip. When I get it 'just right' I'll be sure to make some noise.
  23. Actually some yogurt isn't safe.... I feel like the whole world is conspiring to poisen us. I don't know which yogurt.
  24. I take a fiber suppliment. Or I try to, I keep forgetting.... Hmm... I better go do that now.
  25. I hear stories like this, and I wonder if celiac is what I have. I get mild-medium intestial discomfort, and about 30 very distinct kinds of bad poo. I can describe, (But won't) atleast 10 kinds of bad poo off the top of my head. And I think I have it bad, and then someone comes along with symptoms so far in excess of mine that it makes me ponder if it's...
