  1. Andrea, you must add "Mother Hen" to your job description Hi Bev, good to see you! Of course your husband can join us. He can go over the hill to the mall with Rachel and Mango and the others, where there just might be a KFC. So sorry you have not been feeling well, you have had a rough time of it the last several months. Have you had a check...
  2. Lynne, great story!!
  3. Robbin, you bring up a good point about his health. Or maybe he is trying to resolve something in his past with you Lisa? I also wanted to add that sometimes women carry a torch for a long time. I know that one of my mom's hs friends never fell out of love with her first boyfriend and later in life when they both were divorced they tried to pick it...
  4. Wow 300 pages, and yet we still have not had one balloon drop.... Hi Mango, sorry you are not feeling well. I hope you feel better soon! Rhonda=rinne? I had no idea I thought Celia was just talking to her imaginary friend again! Ryan, I don't know about how the military deals with celiacs. The idea of Greenland being "remote...
  5. That's a trip. I have seen people in person that are on tv and it always so strange. You stare at them like you know them from somewhere and then you rack your brain who it is, then you realize oh yeah. To me they look different in person, smaller or something, on tv they look bigger. Amber Frey, what a horrible situation that whole thing was. Hope...
  6. Thanks for sharing Patti. I have come to the conclusion, in this thread "everything means something", whether it be hidden citric acid, capsules on supplements, auxigro, cc, or the coconut filter in the water- it's all worth trying to eliminate to see if it makes a difference I wanted to mention I have had "d" ever since I started taking Claritin...
  7. Patti, hi! Have you tried Red Bliss Potato Chips? I think they are by Terra. I usually eat these when I have potato chips, made with red bliss potatoes and olive oil. I don't seem to have a problem with them, but maybe it's just me. Nikki- you reminded me we need cleaning and ironing fairies in Rachelville Judy- glad you are making yourself...
  8. Daxin, it isn't a long weekend in the states, as far as I know Unless there is some holiday/day of observance that has slipped my mind Judy, hi! To me you aren't new. You've been around since the beginning of this thread, popping in ocasionally.
  9. Hello to all in Rachelville, I've been laying kind of low the last week, but I am never far. I'm glad we found Rachel, we are becoming experts at sending out a search party Rachel- So sorry about the thyroid, hopefully it will all normalize when you get a correct dosage. I am thinking I am going to have to make an executive decision as...
  10. I have not heard form Rachel either, this is not like her at all to go this long without posting or contacting someone. I'm concerned maybe she got really sick, or maybe something is going on in her personal life. I thought about her computer maybe acting up, but she could always use the one at work.
  11. Hi miamia! My diet is still going well, knock on wood Thanks for asking. Have you tried the kale yet? I am interested in hearing, and how is it going without the spinach? Hang in there
  12. Robbin, I hope you feel better Cecilia, hang in there. Hopefully Chris will fizzle out and not do the same thing Francis did. I'm glad you shared your worries here in Rachelville, that's what friends are for! Susan, I LOVE your new picture!
  13. Just beware Carla, going backwards in Rachelville is a scary concept. Lions and Tigers and Bears oh my! I love everyone's explanation of "spinach", it's a multipurpose word Chelse, I don't know how you do it either, when I ate it for 7 days it didn't even taste good and it made me so much sicker. You are brave indeed. And about the bellydancing...
  14. I still don't know the official definition of "spinach" At this point it seems to be just about anything
  15. I forgot to mention your new picture too Jeny, he is adorable! How old is he?

  17. Patti, I'm excited for your home makeover. You guys have been working so hard on it for a couple of weekends now. I look forward to hear how it comes out. Cecilia, I hate you! JK. That is interesting about the smoking. How exactly does the smoking slow down the process of damage from celiac? Inquiring minds want to know? Plus, we need a little...
  18. Andrea, I am going to try to do that eventually, if all continues to go well with the nuts. I know where to find you to track down recipes You are always so thoughtful! Sorry you didn't get to talk to your SIL MiaMia, Steamed kale is suppose to be pretty good. I hope it works for you. I'm not an expert on greens but I have...
  19. OMG, that gave me a visual, now I am cracking up. My dog did that too, it scared him when he let one rip and he would run away! Hysterical
  20. Mia Mia, your picture is absolutely gorgeous!!!!! We almost have everyone with pictures now! Evie and Cissie, I hope you get yours up soon, and Robbin too. 21. I'm so bummed I missed the party! Sorry my cop picture links didn't work, but it's not what you think! They weren't pictures of shirtless cops from a gay porn site or anything like that You guys should talk I just got done going over all the pages I missed and there was talk of altoids, gay husbands, nuggets, and clenching glute muscles!! ...
  22. Good morning to all in Rachelville, and happy weekend to everyone!! 23. Susan Karen can have her own float, the altoid float!
  24. Just popping in really quick, will have to come back and read to catch up.... An important tip about steaming the tortillas, do not let the water boil up into the steamer basket! That would be very bad, you will end up with a pile of mushy gooey ground corn. You want the water below the bottom of the steamer basket and as it boils let the steam come...
  25. This is what I did Susan, I used a steamer basket and put it in to a big enough pan (that has a lid) so the tortillas would be flat, filled the pan with an inch or so of water and brought it to boiling (make sure you watch the water level because you don't want tit to evaporate out and burn the pan) then once I saw steam rising from the boiling water...
