  1. ...and a tv, I need my tv.... Donna, do you tolerate nuts? I can't remember who all could or not. What is it about nuts? I would really like to eat them. So you have been sober (Bumble Bar sober) going on 8 days now. One day at a time Donna, one day at a time
  2. Andrea, that's why I was trying to throw something in here and there health related. Ummm, I just don't have anything to go with here, my mind is blank. Rachelville has taken over.
  3. Celia, You have to add somewhere in there about the protective guard geese that have the ability to detect auxigro and the Dingo dogs, (Annie and Tinka, I think? Susan can confirm). Edit- Ooops, I see that's already in there, my bad!
  4. You can make kefir out of any milk substitute, rice milk, or coconut milk (the milk from young coconuts) for example. You just need a kefir starter.
  5. I thought bananas were binding and good for "D"?
  6. Berneses, I don't have anything to add here, everyone has given such great advice and information. I'm just here for the support I hope you feel better real soon
  7. I'm thinking we might be a couple posts short of being relocated down to the "Gab" category Donna, was the book on inflammation you were looking at Dr Pericone's by chance?? Just curious. Good one Mango, auxigro detecting geese! Since you are an adventurous one, you like to go over the hill to the mall and to travel...
  8. Chelse, you crack me up! Celia, you are too kind, but trust me, it was not me. All I know about blood is that it is red outside the body!
  9. Celia, I'm so sorry you have a migraine. I hope it goes away quickly I think you have me confused with another Julie, I know nothing about blood
  10. I don't think there is a place that exists with all of these conditions combined at any given time? It would have to be a "Fantasy Island", I would think? I don't really have any special skills... I can be in charge of the town punching bag and I can be nice to everyone, like the Walmart greeter. I'll be the Rachelville greeter
  11. Rachel, you might be the only one! My parents grew up in an area in Kansas where there was, still is, a Mennonite community. A lot of their classmates were Mennonites. Andrea, I was going to say your daughter looks just like you, a "little Andrea"!
  12. I had some time to waste so I'd already checked out johnnyrivers.com I recognize a couple of the songs. I wish there were more pictures, there really aren't that many.... The one that looks a little more recent, he looks really attractive. I actually like aging rock stars, a little unknown fact about me. I found Lindsey Buckinham so attractive...
  13. Mango, this is really exciting! It sounds like your diet will be the easiest part of your 5 month Australian adventure, lots of sources for gluten-free/cf food!!
  14. Carriefaith, I am so sorry that you had such a severe, and scary, reaction. I agree with Patti that you must get an epi-pen. Since your throat closed up you need to have it for emergency situations, and to be on the safe side, and prepared, if it would possibly happen again. I have not had this kind of reaction, so I'm sorry I can't be more helpful...
  15. That's cute Celia!
  16. I was thinking Jerry Lee Lewis, but he is tho only JLL I can come up with. Susan, I have to google your crazy ex up, I don't think I know who he is. You definitely had some adventures in your life I definitely think a book is in order! I wanted to express how much this thread has helped me. Yes, we get crazy and silly from time to time...
  17. Good morning you crazy crazy gals!! I'm not even going to say anymore I am behind and I have so much to catch up on, that's just always a given anymore in this thread Andrea, love your new picture. As much as I adore little Seth, it's great to finally see your other kids Susan, we had a revelation yesterday about gliadin (a protein sub...
  18. I knew there was a super/heoghtened sensitivity to smells and light with multiple chemical, environmental and food sensitivities, but I didn't know there was a connection with celiac, thanks for that little nugget of wisdom Celia.
  19. I would say yes, the enzymes were probably causing you problems. Do you have a list of ingredients on your enzyme bottle? Isn't that something? It's the main thing we are given with digestive problems too, since we have limited/compromised digestion, and here they are making things worse.
  20. Ah yes, the bottled water. I probably will look into that. Did you guys say Costco had spring water? I have been drinking filtered tap water from the same water system (a carbon system) for over 10 years so it might be worth it for me to do this "water challenge". I'm really funny about smells so it might just be me with the problem. My dad drank...
  21. Here's the lowdown on my diet Celia: I basically have a variety of fruits, turkey, beef, and salmon, lettuces, zucchini, yellow squash, asparagus, red skinned potatoes, sweet potatoes/yams, winter squashes (like acorn and spagetti squash), and wild rice. For fats I do olive oil and avocadoes. I'm thinking I am going to try out beets, parsnips and...
  22. Rachel, On the days you have reacted to sweet potatoes and other produce, were you eating amaranth or anything else on those days that you might have been reacting to? Or, were you taking the enzymes at the time you thought you were reacting to the sweet potatoes? I wonder if it was the other things instead. The reason I ask is because I wonder if...
  23. That's exciting about your house project Patti. I love to decorate. I can't really do much in a rental other than moving things around and adding accesories and such. So to vill the void, I watch all the decorating shows on HGTV and TLC to live vicariously, and for ideas and inspiration. I'm addicted to it! I grew up in houses that had white walls...
