  1. Andrea, I am good. I have been reading a lot, so much to catch up on! And I'm taking pilates classes so my free time is taken up with that. You always are checking up on all of us, making sure we are ok, how about yourself, are you doing ok?? How is Seth my King of Kings I don't know if the others went for that, I think it was suggested he be...
  2. Hey Charlie, As far as I know some of the brands of supplements you and I have taken/are taking are the top of the line purest of pure. It got to the point where I was taking a whole pharmacy of capsules and pills and powders, not really knowing what was in them or if they were doing any good, some I even thought were making my problems worse like enzymes...
  3. Tavi, I'm so glad you are our resident bum! I picture you pitching a lawn chair in the front yard of grand central station, putting your feet up, sipping lemonade, and watching the coming and goings of all of us crazy town flolk.. Cecilia, this is what I am calling you because I am too confused It's a combination of Celia and Cecile, no? I love baby...

  5. Um, I will always have big hair I'll just have to wait until it comes back into style, because I can't do a thing about it
  6. Karen, I'm really sorry you have been dealing with all of this. That is in a round about way how and why this thread started, Rachel and a handful of us still have a lot of symptoms and feel miserable - even after going gluten free. Many of us are so gluten free, we aren't even eating a regular gluten free diet, we aren't even eating a diet of any...
  7. Thanks Annette and Donna for the suggestions.
  8. "git 'er dunn" That's my favorite phrase from the hilarious, fabulous, and way hunky duo from While You Were Out - Evan Farmer and Jason Cameron. about the jojoba oil Susan, I'm thinking it was too much? So sorry, or what about leave in conditioner? I guess you will have to ask our hair/beauty expert nikki-uk about this.... no, I didn...
  9. jeny, that's creative thinking. When in doubt, the dingo dogs will get er done!
  10. Anybody do aerobics classes, step, dance/salsa, jazzercise, whatever, and have a good shoe recommendation? I used to do a lot of aerobics, but it's been a while and I currently only have running shoes so I need to get something more appropriate for aerobic/dance. Any suggestions would be much appreciated
  11. Donna, I don't think I posted a link, just quotes and info. about the relationship between histamine and adrenal function. I went back (yes it was scary indeed going back ) and found it on page 194. Seems like it was a lifetime ago, but it was only 2 days Life sure does move at a rapid speed here in Rachelville. Susan, I'm so glad we have...
  12. I agree, Rachel, Andrea is the best. She has been missing from R'ville for much too long. And I think Mango is gone....... Ok, we'll send out a search party if you get lost back there in the scary scary pages. I think the dingos are really enthusiastic about special missions, Susan??
  13. rinne, I would love to know about the liquid vitamins, if you find out any information on them. We have discussed night sweats, earlier in the thread, there was some connection to msg. Several of us seemed to have them. I always thought mine were connected to hormones, and sometimes they might be, but I also think when I have eaten something that I...
  14. Robbin, I am so sorry about your eyes. I hope you find someone that can help you. The hive issue, I did find a histimine restricted diet for uticaria and angioedema that I am going to try out, it's a 4 week trial diet. The only thing I don't like is they list foods to avoid rather then the allowed foods. I do better following a plan when they list the...
  15. OMG! I don't know how you are doing it. I know how miserable I felt just after 7 days, I can't even imagine making it as long as you have. I guess you could tell your mom at this point you aren't even absorbing anything so the vitamins would be money down the drain?
  16. Cecilia, you're breaking my heart You're shaking my confidence baby Oh Cecilia, I'm down on my knees I'm begging you please to come home Come on home I thought of this Simon and Garfunkel song when you told us your real name I don't know what to call you now. Help me out. Enzymes made my intestinal situation worse, I feel. I...
  17. Hi Clark Bent, I have taken supplements from the same companies you list here, metagenics, pure, etc., and while I don't think I was reacting to any hidden ingredients (i.e. dairy, gluten) they became problematic fro me. I took a trial run without them and noticed I actually felt better without them. In this thread (100s of pages back) for example, we...
  18. oh please, you have 1 stinkin year on me jk of course. I don't know about Robert either, I don't think I was on the board then, or if I was I totally missed those posts. All I know is, Robert=he who broke Susan's heart. The Johnny Rivers dude, I had to google him to find out who he was Hello and welcome to all the new peeps <...
  19. I'm just not a big fan of ibuprofen. I took it for years, in high doses for excruciating period cramping. Actually it can't be classified as "cramping" it was period pain that I would go into shock from and pass out every month, but I digress..... it was the only drug I would take and I hated it but it did help witht he pain and all of my docs said, "well...
  20. Be careful with ibuprofen, especially if leaky gut is already present and I will leave it at that .....
  21. I don't have an obvious reaction to any of these fruits, kiwi, peaches, nectarines, even pineapple. But grapes, red grapes, I don't think I can do those, they made my angioedema worse. Of course, with me I have delayed reactions so I am not really a good barometer for what is/what isn't working for me reaction wise. The link I posted before, the...
  22. Look at this list:Open Original Shared Link I guess there is just some descrepency with a few fruits... Have a good evening Ryan! Vincent, there is a connection between migraines and msg, another one of the topics we have discussed somewhere in the last 200 pages rinne, I also am disappointed with the way...
  23. Yes, at least this is what I read that it can be from environmental (dust, pollen), chemicals, and foods. I think I remember your food list the day you had a reaction, lots of corn chips, salsa, lara bars. For starters the tomato base in the salsa could be problematic, if you are talking about histimine release, also the lara bars with the dried fruit...
  24. Well, that was fun! I toook a lot of anatomy and physiology courses in college, but when I do a search for medical issues and the journals and studies come up, that stuff just goes over my head So, yes, there are smooth muscles in the intestinal tract, smooth muscles are found within in the walls of all the hollow organs like the lungs, blood...
