  1. Rachel, check out this link for me and let me know what you think, there's a link at the bottom following the article for the low histimine diet this guy/girl followed. Open Original Shared Link I am super excited because this histimine thing might be the answer to my angioedma, but I am finding, like with everything else, there is some contradiction...
  2. Donna, I am thinking the inflammation and the histamine issue might go hand in hand as well. "Histamine is an important protein involved in many allergic reactions. Allergies are caused by an immune response to a normally innocuous substance that comes in contact with lymphocytes specific for that substance, or antigen. In many cases, the lymphocyte...
  3. Thanks for posting this info on histamine Rachel I had to laugh about the part where it says avoid/or reduce all fish and shellfish, unless it is caught, gutted and cooked within 30 minutes! I guess we have to add fish catching/fish gutting/fish cooking to the list, following growing our own produce and milking our own cows....... ...
  4. Welcome Jeny, or do you prefer Jennifer? Guys I am off for a little while, must go to pilates class Have a good am/afternoon in Rachelville!
  5. My thoughts on this are, yes, yes, yes, you are on to something!!! Just a couple things I can add here from my experience is the connection between adrenal function and histamine release. If you look into this Rachel, and everybody, this might be another step towards healing fully. I agree that taking antihistimines short term and following an antihistimine...
  6. Susan and Cissie, if you remember oats also contain gliadin, a protein sub-fraction of Gluten. Gliadin is present in wheat, oats, rye, barley, and millet (and amaranth). This gliadin thing still confuses me a little bit but as far as I understand, many people react to gliadin much like gluten and should avoid it as well. I agree that you guys...
  7. I've been really worried too, as busy as she is she always pops in several times. This is just not usual for her.....
  8. I know, gotta watch that Donna, too many Bumble Bars and she is two sheets to the wind, making up stuff, crazy talk.....
  9. I think it all makes sense, and Mango is right, it doesn't negate anything that you've come up with before, it's just another piece to the puzzle, and it works along with everything else. I had been at this too long with all kinds of info in my head and theories, and what to do's, and what not to do's...it all got so confusing and jumbled. You are...
  10. OMG, I really do think you are onto something!! I have always gone the alternative health route, after many miserable and infuriating experiences with main stream med docs (but that's irrelevant), and one of the things I did was the bioscan machine, don't know if anyone has heard of these or not? But anyway, I went to a Naturopath for several years...
  11. Carrie, I just popped in here to see how you were doing! I am so glad to read you had an appt. with the new Dr. and that you are feeling better. I hope all continues to go well while you get yourself established with this Dr. , and with his help figure out your allergy situation. Best of luck!
  12. That's amazing Patti! I'm glad your digestion has improved and no more heart palps, who would have thought coconut in the water filter? Our health problems are so complicated and complex, it's hard to believe something so simple can make all the difference, I'm glad this water challenge has made a huge difference for you
  13. BTW, I think it's awesome what you are doing for Tanya and her family. Histamine, another word to put on the punching bag...

Go figure! I hope you get to feeling better and hopefully soon the meds will kick in and do their magic so you can have...
  23. I've got it! I know who can be King! I mean, yes, we must have the traffic cop, but the perfect King would be Seth!!!!!! Andrea, can we borrow Seth?
  24. Have fun eating your ice cream, enjoy every last bite. What kind ya gonna get?? I have a question, are we sick in Rachelville, or is it a place we can eat anything we want?? I know we have organic farm land and free roaming grass fed cows that provide us with raw unpasteurized milk, and that everything is clean and pure of chemicals and additives...
  25. I leave you guys alone for a little while and I come back to find I have not only been voted Queen and Greeter of Rachelville, but somehow I am listed as the Governor as well, how did this happen? I'm a little embarassed about the Queen thing, everyone has been so kind with their comments, but in real life I am so far from queen material, it's a...
