    ARCHIVED Outback

Wildones: I go to the Outback in Littleton - Wadsworth and Bowles area - near Southwest Plaza mall. You'll have to wonder down our way sometime to eat at that Outback. Good luck.
  3. I was actually diagnosed at 2 with celiac disease because my doctor's dog had it. Doc recognized similar symptoms. Thank god for his dog.
  4. I've had celiac disease since 2. I had two babies - only 13 months apart with no problems and no prior miscarriages. Once on the gluten free diet - your body should start healing. I ate very well while being pregnant, exercises and took vitamins. Good luck. There is hope...trust me.
  5. I too have the right sided pain, gained weight, rapid heartbeat if I drink any "allowed" alcohol...and nauseousness, hair loss, itchiness, mood swings, joint pain, dizziness, adsentmindedness, jheadaches, etc., etc. the list goes on and on. just scheduled for a gastrointestinal endoscopy in about 6 weeks. i was confirmed, diagnosed at 2 with celiac....
  6. I have been trying relentlessly to not eat anything i'm not supposed to eat. But i feel worse. I went to specialist yesterday - great doc! he is probably in his upper 50's and he has studied Celiac his entire doctor life. Most recent research two weeks ago at a clinic. He took blood work and of course scheduled me for a biopsy. He said he figures...
  7. I'm right there with you. Diagnosed at 2, began eating everything and anything I wanted. now 28 and terrible problems/symptoms. going to a specialist today. one of the few docs in my area in Colorado - listed as a recommended doc for celiac. I gained about 12 lbs in less than 2 wks. I can do nothing to lose weight. less calories, more execise - nothing...
  8. My son from 2 months to 1 yr - was not growing, gaining weight, etc. As soon as he started eating foods - everything reversed. He just turned 3 a couple weeks ago and went in for his well baby check. He is in the 75% for weight and height. I am going to a celiac specialist tomorrow and going to see if they will test my son for Celiac. He has every sign...

  10. Another recipe for flourless peanut butter cookies that my mom started making for me as a child and now i make for myself and family: 1 cup creamy peanut butter 1 cup of sugar 1 egg 1 tablespoon of vanilla. Mix all ingredients together. Roll into balls and put on cookie sheet. flatten out with a fork and bake at 325 degrees for about 13 minutes...

  12. Hi Tom: I live in the Littleton (Chatfield area) and would love to meet/talk with you and your wife. I'm 28, diagnosed at 2, rebelled as a teenager and started eating everything I wanted and now back on the gluten-free diet, struggling to stay on it. Too many symptoms, problems to list....all I can say are completely related to Celiac. corbintlg@hotmail...
  13. Jessie: No - those are all normal feelings. I am 28, diagnosed at 2 with Celiac and unfortunately I think I have passed it on to one of my sons - who is 3 and getting ready to be tested. My 4 yr old doesn't show any signs of it and I'm hoping never does. I'm depressed and feel so bad that I may be the one responsible for giving it to my son. It is...
  14. Newbie: hang in there. it is tough. I'm 28, diagnosed when I was 2. didn't eat anything I wasn't supposed to until I became a teenager and rebelled. I started eating everything. And continued to do so until about a month ago - when I realized that all of the problems and symptoms I am having are related to my celiac. I think I had convinced myself...
  15. Yes - it is great knowing that there are others out there just like us, going through the same things, etc. Very frustrating that the fact is that if you don't have Celiac Disease, you just can't fully understand it. And others cannot seem to understand what we are going through. Even though I have had it my entire life, diagnosed at 2 - I still struggle...
  16. celiac3270: I'll be honest that it isn't easy. I'm 28 - diagnosed when I was 2. I would bring my lunch most of the time. Just to be certain. Trust me, it is not worth it - eating something that not only is going to make you feel terrible, but cause possible permanent damage to your body. Hang in there. If you have a Whole Foods store or Wild Oat...
