ARCHIVED Omg...i Might Be On To Something

I don't know what all you can handle with food. We always get the gluten free pasta, which is corn. Then we either get the marinara (with or without mushrooms) or the Mizithra cheese. We usually get salad with pesto dressing as that is gluten free as well. -

I just checked this link at this time. Boy, that's a lot of damage! Is this worse than Katrina was as far as damage? Looks like it. -

I don't blame you one bit. There's got to be a better area to put an IV......like your hand? I don't understand why it has to be in the neck. Talk about a pain in the neck! -

Thanks again everyone. We went to the Spaghetti Factory again, then to the Outback for Thunder From Down Under. We never know what time hubby will be home. He got off early today so we all went out. The weekend trip was a treat from a friend. -

We'd never survive without power for a week. No fireplace to help keep warm. We do have a cook stove though so that would be better than nothing. That's awful about the vacation home. -

Thanks everyone! Don't have anything special planned today, but did go out to the Old Spaghetti Factory over the weekend. -

I think most people have some form of guilt in their lives that could benefit from this. I know my hubby and I do, so maybe I'm just thinking it's a common thing, but just at different levels for everyone. I'm so glad these treatments are helping you and excited to hear that you are doing so much better. Carla, I'm glad you still have power... -

Rachel, I'm thinking T's problems, to some extent anyway, are related to metals, possible thyroid and foods. How do I determine the best diet for her to try and pinpoint these. I haven't a clue as to which foods are high in amines or salicylates. I think M might benefit from something like this as well. Both of them love grains. Birdy, You... -

Rachel, If you could sent the book I'd appreciate it. I'm just trying to gather info right now. I'm wondering in the diet would help with T. I'd think she'd benefit from more testing for thyroid, metals, whatnot; but we don't have the funds. I'm thinking if I can figure out things we can eat and reduce our sugar and grain intake it might help. -

My hubby and I are always "fighting" for time. We sit patiently (or not so patiently) waiting for our turn to come up again. Ouch about the thumbtack! -

Paula, I would think it was the mold starting to cause problems for you. I've had 3 c/s and didn't have a major health decrease due to them. I think my health problems started with being vegan, although not sure when the gluten problems cropped up. -

I know thyroid came up with T on ASYRA. Both as an auto immunity (the first ASYRA) and thyroid deficiency (the second ASYRA). Don't know what all that means though. M had the same. S also has problems in that area. Mitch does as well. They didn't run that set of testing on me so I don't know about me, but I'd be surprised if it wasn't a problem due... -

Rachel, It's good to hear you're doing more things. I'm too addicted to the computer to not be on it. -

I'm hoping you feel better by next Sunday. Sorry you feel worse today. That home looks real nice. What a hassle, even with insurance to clean up and rebuild. Hope the storms your way are not that bad. I don't like the idea of tornado's or hurricanes.....but I'm not at all used to them.....if you even can get used to them. -

Off topic..... Went to Seattle yesterday to see an old friend. Haven't seen her for 5 years. Long drive....3 hours one way. She took us out to the Old Spaghetti Factory. Anyway, we're working on me going up in 3 weeks to visit with her by myself. Her hubby will be gone, her daughter at her Dad's. So it will just be the two of us for the weekend so... -

Yuck! Did I say Yuck!!!! I'll go ahead and order the book. We'd definately do a modified. Since I don't think we are in real bad shape, maybe we wouldn't have to be on it that long. I've read she recommends a year or two at least. At least I have time to learn and figure out what would be best. I know I have carb and sugar hounds here....... -

Rachel, I'm glad you are able to get in next week without having to see this new lady. The scheduling with her is insane, especially if you can't even count on the appointment you've made! I'll be looking for updates next week when you have them. -

I'm not detoxing. That's Carla. I do take chlorella to help bind the metals. I was muscle tested for that though and my body likes it. -

Looking at some comments on the diet, I'm thinking we'd benefit more from just restricting our grains (not eliminating them), reducing our sugar (aside from natural sugar in fruits). I've written Dr E to see what she things and find out what it would cost for her to do a diet/nutritional plan for us. Moldlady, I haven't tried epsom salt baths. I...
