  1. Well heck then, have a birthday WEEK! Do something fun every night. Start tonight by having the kids find out which of them can giggle the longest.
  2. Dang, I go out for a day and you guys rack up three pages. How'm I ever gonna survive going back to work? Well, several hours and $250 later I have shoes. Thank heavens that's over for a few more years.
  3. OK, weeded the iris bed, the hosta bed, and the easiest part of the flower bed. Lefty was kind enough to stand guard through much of the event, lest something untoward befall me. Now can someone explain why sitting on my butt in the dirt doing practically nothing is so exhausting?
  4. Sooze, if you put some ginger in yer beans it helps lessen the effects. You don't need so much you can taste it, just a few sprinkles to help keep your tummy settled.
  5. This week is yard waste pickup so I'm planning on sitting on my toucas pulling weeds. At least something'll get done, even if I don't fill it up.
  6. I thought this said 'measuring men' Have recovered my newly shaven cat. They don't do the tip of the tail so he looks kinda like a cheap feather duster. He's also not nearly as fat as I thought he was. Guess I won't worry about over treating. Arrrrf grrarrr rarrarra Angus!!
  7. Maxy has long thick hair and he hates to be combed so he's all matted

  11. hm, I tried to befriend Emily but either a) I did it wrong (highly possible), 2) Emily doesn't really like me, or c) Em doesn't actually look at her facebook thingy. Maybe Judy will be my friend?
  12. More 'scientists behaving badly' Open Original Shared Link
  13. That was totally awesome. I'm sending that out to the lab. This is what I do: Open Original Shared Link
  14. hmm....did not mean to suggest that glee-inducing events invoke "bawdy, loud caterwauling". A simple, short 'woohoo' of moderate volume is usually sufficient to express the wildness of the moment. Anything beyond that would require the addition of several liters of mojitos, preferably in pitcher form and distributed evenly amongst all participants.
  15. Scientists are quite capable of "whooping" and engaging in other expressions of merriment.
  16. I was home, inbetween jobs. Woke up, and for no particular reason decided to turn on the radio. It took probably 10 minute before I fully comprehended what I was listening too. I went to my brother's house to watch the news coverage. It was very surreal.
  17. So were we all once too. It does get easier.
  18. gonna....? When was the last time you saw her?
  19. What she said, but I used chicken broth for my liquid, and put poultry seasoning into the cornbread mix.
  20. Sounds like you're eating werewolf extract
  21. My thoughts exactly. Nik, I'm afraid it's too late. The collider has created a humongous black whole that we've all been sucked into with no hope of ever seeing daylight again ....oh wait....that's just this thread...
