  1. I would prefer to wait till after the holiday's and let the vitamins take time to work. I had positive antibodies, then after going gluten free they were negative. Then at that time they said I had osteoporosis and osteopenia, multiple deficiencies. I just don't feel like its the right thing to do right now for some reason. Its a gut feeling I have...
  2. I have the biopsy scheduled but I am fraking out and don't want to do it. I have been great with diet....and I would prefer to let the diet work for a while longer, and let the supplements for the deficiencies and osteo work for a while longer, re-check my levels and then if it still looks necessary still then do it.... They are pushing it thouh.... ...
  3. I have had a couple of bad experiences. With meat products that said there was maltodextrin in it. I know they are 'supposed" to label....but I don't beleive its as strict as we would like it to be. I got sick... Thats just my experience. So I would clearly get an answer from the manufacturer about their source.
  4. I just took my son and many of the Disney Restaurants have things like fresh fruit, veggies and cold chiken plates with veggies. There are also some smoothie stands which are gluten free. Also....I highly recommend Denny's on the strip leading up to Disney. They were very accomadating in cooking and have alot of experience with it. I mean I take...
  5. I am sure this was out here before,...but I could'nt find a post... Can anyone tell me about Edy's ice cream and whether or not the Pumpkin one is ok???
  6. Yeah well my doc said my age with the osteoporosis, she said I have some time and she'd like to see me go the "natural" route before thinking about "meds" Which I am totally on baord with so...I'm just a nervous nelly when I see anything with 50,000 units...yah know....
  7. Open Original Shared Link
  8. Actually, Natural Feast, I've had them and if they are cooked per the directions really good, in my opinion
  9. Ok..well thats good to know.... Anyone start feeling any better after starting the D therapy?
  10. Definitely do NOT eat Snickers of any kind....not only are the plants at high risk for cross contamination due to the manufacturing process, but its like putting motor oil on your intestines because of the hydrogenated oils. They might technically be gluten free...but they are not ok to eat....lots of us on here get sick form them but some still push them...
  11. Yes, that how I got the blood tests done. I have sever deficiency in A and Zinc...D as well and I have osteoporosis, penia and celiac. I am supposed to start 50,000 units of D once a week for 12 weeks.....tonight....
  12. I'm nervous about taking the 50,000 units....
  13. Anyone ever had the 50,000 units per week D therapy? Can you offer any experiences...good and bad...or nothing to worry about? Also...my hair is coming out like crazy....and I have been craving potatoes.....someone said B5, B6 deficiency...when they checked October 12th...she said they were fine....could that change between then and now? I'm also deficient...
  14. I kept gaining before I was diagnosed. I was 318 this March, and now I am 249. And I continue to lose, without excecise. The weeks I actually do, which is only walking I lose more. but its not intentional, its just the nature of the diet. Mostly fruits, vegetables, and lean meat/fish. No preservatives and no junk. However, part of that too my doc...
  15. I received an email from the company, and they said if you have Gluten sensitivity its not adviseable to eat any the Snickers because of the high probability in the manufacturing and packaging process. Everytime I eat one I get sick...and maybe thats the suagr and the fact I eat mainly fruits/vegetables...but....I have just said forget the darn candy....
  16. They are caramel apples covered with peanuts... I checked the website but it has nothing....
  17. Anyone...are these gluten free??
  18. I think maybe she forgot that I had that lab work in my file....that I had the all postive levels.... that my periods were non existent now clock work,....levels are down to "normal", no D.....but now we're left managing the deficiecies and osteo.... Someone suggested if I get noting with that message.....to go to a naturopath....I dunno about that though...
  19. Shes actually a leading researcher inthe field and concentrates her practivce on Celiac disease, thats her entire clinic. I called the office and left a message and said I need an explanation as to why they would say that when I have been gluten-free since June. Because that would change the labs, thats what you want to happen and if its not noted properly...
  20. Yeah she said you don't have the geen and your blood work is negative so you don't have it. Positive blood work, and then my levels returning to normal mean enough to me.... I don't barf or hav D anymore....outside of the odd occasion where what I ate.....just doesn't agree with me...and when they did the challange...I was in the hospital within...
  21. Right all my blood work in June, was positive HIGHLY> Then I had a subsequent series of tests...those were not as high but positive (different doc these times) Then she runs labs the 12th....and says what she said about not having celiac...because they were negative. Mind you I have been gluten-free since June 27th. She I don't have it. But I...
  22. Yeah...her exact words were "You don't show any celiac now because you don't have positive antibodies or the gene" So they are only going to treat it as vitamin deficiency...and they aren't going to code it celiac as I alter found out today. Makes no sense. POsitive blood work across the baord, went gluten free, now negative blood work, minus severe...
  23. She was saying I might not actually have celiac.....because it usually doesn't improve that quickly. But from everything I have seen here.....You go gluten free and if you are strict, the levels....can improve not over night but in a reasonable amount og time. The PA and doc both said though, this is such a common phenomenon in the celiac community.....
  24. Any ideas,,,,,?? Suggestions....or ever had this happen??
  25. Doc says now, per the most recent labs, my IGG went from 24, about 4 months ago, to 7 just a few days ago. She said this can happen when you go gluten free. She saif my TTG went back to normal. And I showed no genotyping for it now. Weird? Can this really happen once you go gluten-free? SHe said as far as labs are concerned there is no celiac indicators in...
