Bread Cups

Forgive me if I have posted this already:

I take bread dough - I like to use Chebe garlic breadstick mix or Pamela's Biscuit Mix, but anything will do - roll it out and cut cirlces with a biscuit cutter, lay the circles into mini muffin tins and bake on medium heat for about 15 minutes.

You can use these for any meal of the day. Some examples:

For breakfast - fill with scrambled eggs, cheese, sausage, onions, peppers, whatever...

For lunch - (This is hubby's favorite) fill with chicken or tuna salad

For dinner - fill with sloppy joe meat or taco meat or BBQ chicken

The possiblities are endless. These are also just fun fingerfoods and my neices love them as well - they like to fill with pizza sauce, cheese and pepperoni.

Hope someone enjoys this as much as we do!

What a wonderful idea! I even have some of the mix on my shelf and was going to make some breadsticks tonight. This is a much better idea.

When you roll it out, is it really thin?

Maybe someone can help me with my chebe mix. My first attempt at rolls was awful. I rolled them into little balls....maybe i made the balls too small because when they cooked, they stayed the same size. So now I have little bitty hard balls of bread. <_< my daughter did not like them. Any ideas what I did wrong?

Yes - really thin - like thin pie crust would be.

I don't particularly like the Chebe breadsticks. I just use the mix for pizza dough or these "cups." One secret I found is that you have to work with it a little more than regular dough. My mama always told me not to "overwork" my dough, but it's hard to do that with Chebe. I roll it out, ball it up and roll it out again. You'll notice when it starts loosening up and acting like regular dough.

I don't know why they would have stayed the same size though? My chebe always puffs up to about twice the original size. Maybe try working with it some more.

They may want to also eliminate other possible causes for your symptoms/issues and are doing additional tests.  Here is info about blood tests for celiac disease--if positive an endoscopy where biopsies of your intestinal villi are taken to confirm is the typical follow up.

In the Europe the new protocol for making a celiac disease diagnosis in children is if their tTg-IgA (tissue transglutaminase IgA) levels are 10 times or above the positive level for celiac disease--and you are above that level. According to the latest research, if the blood test results are at certain high levels that range between 5-10 times the reference range for a positive celiac disease diagnosis, it may not be necessary to confirm the results using an endoscopy/biopsy: Blood Test Alone Can Diagnose Celiac Disease in Most Children and Adults TGA-IgA at or Above Five Times Normal Limit in Kids Indicates Celiac Disease in Nearly All Cases No More Biopsies to Diagnose Celiac Disease in Children! May I ask why you've had so many past tTg-IgA tests done, and many of them seem to have been done 3 times during short time intervals?

@JettaGirl, "Coeliac" is the British spelling of "celiac". Same disease.

This may sound ridiculous but is this supposed to say Celiacs? I looked up Coeliacs because you never know, there’s a lot of diseases related to a disease that they come up with similar names for. It’s probably meant to say Celiacs but I just wanted to confirm.

I was told it was to see how much damage has been caused. But just told CT with contrast not any other name for it.
