Hi all,

Just wanted some input on what should be done next. I've been diagnosed with psoriasis, gout, and the constant aching/swelling joints so far this year. At my last blood work I asked my RA about the possibility of celiac disease and he ok'd the test and chalked it up to thinking outside the box. Although he is convinced that the gout or psoriatic arthritis might be causing my discomfort. The test came back with these results:

Transglutaminase IGA AB,  my value <1.2 WITH A STANDARD RANGE OF <4.0.

 

Celiac disease antibodies: IGA, my value 527 WITH A STANDARD RANGE OF 61-356 mg/dl

 

My RA said it was very unlikely I had celiac disease but the other blood work that has been done might prove different. I've had low iron and normal iron levels. Low and hi uric acid levels (now low). And now he wants to look at my fatty liver even tho I haven't drank hard since I was in my 20's.

 

Any thoughts?

      If you have hemorrhoids 1x weekly I don't see how you have time to heal from one episode before you experience another one, unless each one is a very minor event. Have you consulted a physician about your hemorrhoid issue? It's not normal to be having an episode every week unless it is really one episode that is not completely healing between weekly...

      No I haven't had one since 2021. I rarely have more than 1 per week.

      Sorry, I see that now as I reread your original post. You say you have hemorrhoids "only once a week" now. When I develop hemorrhoids, which is once every few years now, it generally takes 3-4 days for healing to take place. So, it doesn't seem like you could have much relief time between episodes if you have them weekly. Have you had a lower GI scoping done...

      Everyday I eat a medium to large apple in the morning and a large banana at night. I eat a cup of oatmeal in the evening. The ezekiel wheat bread I eat has a good amount of fiber. I haven't dealt with constipation for at least a year. Most of the time my feces are soft.
