History - had stomach issues since I was 10 off and on. By high school I was on meds as needed or IBS. Had h pylori too. Now 38 and I'm tired, losing hair, dry skin and still have off and on stomach problems. Dr ran CBC, iron test, thyroid tests, rheumatoid tests, ANA, immunoglobin a (IgA) serum, tissue transglutaminase AB IGA and gliadin IGA ABS. Everything was normal except for the gliadin test. Normal was less than 20, but mine was over 100. My follow up is in two weeks. Does that one test still lead towards celiac if everything else is in normal range?

Yeah that's pretty high. That was the only one that was high for me, but it was only at 22 and 19 was the cut off, so I'm eating gluten again because I decided to get retested. Not feeling so hot, either! I'd see what your doctor has to say, 100 is definitely high and something is up, I would get a biopsy, or at the very least, go off gluten for several months and retest to see if it goes down. Other diseases can  cause that one to go high, but I'm not sure which ones, so if it goes down without gluten consumption, I think you have your answer and should stay off it.

Yes that is a positive result even if all other tests are negative. That test is specific to celiac and with that high of a result your doctor may diagnose you without any further testing. A biopsy may also be advised. If you think that you will choose to do the biopsy do keep eating gluten until after that test is done. Once all celiac related testing is finished you do need to get on the diet and follow it strictly.

      Yes, some people do get withdrawal from gluten but gluten withdrawal doesn't usually cause gut pain. Maybe more like general body aches and discomfort. We have articles on gluten withdrawal on this forum. You might do a search for them. Applesauce is very acidic and some brands have added vitamin C (ascorbic acid) which makes them more acidic. This can...

      Do you or anyone know alot about ibuprofen I wasn't sure if I was eating too much apple sauce. Something is making my pain so much worse I'm referring to the intense pins and needles in my feet and lower legs. Jaw actually has tardive dystonia and muscle spasms throughout my back Almost like an opposite effect that a pain reliever...

      When my wife attempted to open the online card in the store with a cashier, it would not work. We then showed the owner the link to the card, the online receipt that I got upon purchase, and even my bank statement confirming the purchase. That did not satisfy her, since she said she needed the link to open to reveal the gift ID num. They even admitted they had a systems problem around that time.

Six months later, and numerous absurd back and forths, and the owner literally informs me there have been "bad actors", so she can't make good on this lost gift card. In other words, she accused me of lying and committing fraud... over $50! Please be careful with your orders and purchases here.

We have articles on gluten withdrawal on this forum. You might do a search for them. Applesauce is very acidic and some brands have added vitamin C (ascorbic acid) which makes them more acidic. This can damage the stomach lining if you eat it too often. Especially if your stomach lining is already compromised. Ibuprofen inhibits the body's ability to rebuild the stomach's protective mucosal lining. That's why it can cause peptic ulcers. As strange as it may sound, low level irritation/inflammation stimulates the body to rebuild the stomach lining. There are two steps in this rebuilding process known as COX 1 and COX 2. Ibuprofen represses both COX 1 and COX 2. Celecoxcib, a prescription anti inflammatory, inhibits only COX 2, making it less likely to cause damage to the gut lining.

I'm fairly new to this. Whatever is going on seems to be worsening  Do people get a withdrawal effect from gluten?  It's extremely painful 😖  I'll post that question or research on the site  Thank you everyone for responding
