The husband and I are taking a trip to Paris soon. Are there any recommendations for us to try?

Helmut Newcake and Noglu are on our list. Anything else?

Also does anyone know the business hours for Helmut Newcake?

I haven't been to any of these, just planning for a future trip, but these are all supposed to be gluten free. Most have Facebook pages in addition to websites - sometimes the weekly menu is on the Facebook page.

Please tell us about any that you try!

My wife and I took a trip to Paris 3 or 4 years ago and found it quite difficult. The language barrier was a problem at times. I forgot my card that I was going to take with me to show waiters at the restaurant that explained my gluten free needs in French. It was difficult at times to get them to understand what gluten free was. Some thought I was asking for free food. London was much easier. Maybe things have gotten better since I was there. I would suggest getting the flash cards in different languages that explains your gluten free needs if you don't speak french.

Thank you all for being so helpful. I had a great time during my trip. The places that I tried were the following:

- Helmut NewCake - Delicious pastries and brunch. BEST gluten free eclairs. You will find classic french pastries here.

- Noglu - A must try for both lunch and dinner.

- Thank you my deer - Delicious sandwiches and muffins.

- Pierre Sang - Not a gluten free restaurant but they understood my issue and were very helpful (I brought a celiac card and they spoke English)

- Eric Kayser - They are not gluten free but have gluten free bread. At the time I went it was made in a separate area and double packaged to protect against cross contamination.

- Biosphere Cafe - Buckwheat crepes and gluten free pastries.

Additionally I stayed at the Grand Hotel du Palais Royal and they had gluten free croissants for breakfast. They buy them frozen and after I asked them to heat them up separately and avoid cross contamination I had no issues.

Thank you for your post-trip reply! Good to hear that you had a great gluten free time.

This treatment looks promising. Its aim is to provoke immune tolerance of gluten, possibly curing the disease. It passed the phase 2 trial with flying colours, and I came across a post on Reddit by one of the study volunteers. Apparently, the results were good enough that the company is applying for fast track approval.  Anokion Announces Positive Symptom Data from its Phase 2 Trial Evaluating KAN-101 for the Treatment of Celiac Disease https://www.reddit.com/r/Celiac/comments/1krx2wh/kan_101_trial_put_on_hold/

Hi everyone  This has been a crazy year so far... How many people actually get entire sensory overload from gluten or something similar ?  My jaw is going nuts ..and that nerve is affecting my upper back and so on ...  Bones even hurt.  Brain fog. Etc  I had eggs seemed fine.   Then my aid cooked a chicken stir fry in the microwave because my food order shorted a couple key items .   I was so hungry but I noticed light breading and some ingredients with SOY !!! Why are we suffering with soy ? This triggered a sensitivity to bananas and gluten-free yogurt it seems like it's a cycle that it goes on.  The tiniest amount of something gets me I'm guessing the tiny bit of breading that I took one tiny nibble of ...yikes ..im cringing from it .. Feels like my stomach is going to explode yet still very hungry 😔  How long does this last?! Thank you so much

I have had orthodontic work done. The 3M invisalign material was no problem. BUT my retainers are another matter. They seemed okay for a few months. Now, however, they cause a burning sensation on my tongue, gums and insides of my lips. The burning sensation is now spreading to my throat. I notice it when I breathe. This is annoying and interferes with my enjoyment of eating. I am visiting with my provider tomorrow. We'll see where this goes from here.
