Question:  Whats your favorite gluten free bread mix? I have been using Bob's Red mill Wonderful Bread but, honestly I am not a fan of the taste so I add basil, garlic, cheese to disguise the bean flavor I taste.  I turns out well with those additions, but I was just curious what else was out there.

Thanks

I was diagnosed with celiac disease at age 62, after 61 years of loving wheat. Bread has been the most difficult, haven't enjoyed a sandwich since I was diagnosed.I have tried baking my own and of every store-bought brand, the most tolerable for me is called "All But Gluten" whole grain . In the Publix I shop in, it is the only gluten-free brand that is not sold as frozen, it is on a shelf in the bakery area.

Just this week I found a product that works better than bread, for me. Suzy's Whole Grain Thin Cakes, made with corn, sesame and quinoa. It is sold as 'gluten free' but it is made in a factory that processes wheat. I am celiac, diagnosed by labs and biopsy, but I have had no problem with this so far. These crackers are basically square, bread sized rice cakes smashed flat. Only 37 calories for 3 crackers ;) I made open faced egg salad 'sandwiches, open faced pimento cheese spread sandwiches (I'm Southern),  and open face tuna 'sandwiches'. The flavor and most importantly the texture of these crackers enhance the sandwich(for me) Also spread some Nutella on a couple and had with coffee- mmmmm;)

I am guessing you didn't want to know about crackers?  Lol. :)

I get my bread from a local gluten-free bakery, so I haven't tried these.  I have lots of friends in other parts of the country that really like Jules .shepard's mixes.  Open Original Shared Link

Pamela's Gluten Free Bread Mix, which I've made twice in my bread maker. First time it was okay, this time....though....excellent. I added some chia seed and flax seed, and used slightly less water.

Even my guy likes it, which speaks volumes to me.  :)

BTW, we've done other articles on this topic that I wanted to share here (not to condone smoking!):

Hi everyone  This has been a crazy year so far... How many people actually get entire sensory overload from gluten or something similar ?  My jaw is going nuts ..and that nerve is affecting my upper back and so on ...  Bones even hurt.  Brain fog. Etc  I had eggs seemed fine.   Then my aid cooked a chicken stir fry in the microwave because my food order shorted a couple key items .   I was so hungry but I noticed light breading and some ingredients with SOY !!! Why are we suffering with soy ? This triggered a sensitivity to bananas and gluten-free yogurt it seems like it's a cycle that it goes on.  The tiniest amount of something gets me I'm guessing the tiny bit of breading that I took one tiny nibble of ...yikes ..im cringing from it .. Feels like my stomach is going to explode yet still very hungry 😔  How long does this last?! Thank you so much

I have had orthodontic work done. The 3M invisalign material was no problem. BUT my retainers are another matter. They seemed okay for a few months. Now, however, they cause a burning sensation on my tongue, gums and insides of my lips. The burning sensation is now spreading to my throat. I notice it when I breathe. This is annoying and interferes with my enjoyment of eating. I am visiting with my provider tomorrow. We'll see where this goes from here.

Exactly which blood tests were done? There are a few different ones and some docs don't do them all. Also, your results and reference ranges for each?
