I'm new to the gluten-free life.  I was wondering - is there a gluten-free dish detergent?

Not really necessary unless you plan on eating it.  I would be more concerned with hand lotions or shampoos (greater chance of swallowing).  Gluten must be ingested to activate celiac disease.

Never heard of gluten in dish soap, but going to be honest. Ever since I removed all gluten, dairy from my house, and always used foil in baking pans. I think this might also do with I wash right after using something and never have a dirty dish in my sink, but I have not needed a dish soap in 3 years. Stuff just rinses off, then I use a sanitize bleach dip (1-2 caps of bleach in a sink of hot water), and into the dishwasher for the sanitize function requirement. Not sure what it was in old food preps that used to stick to dishes but with my current diet and cooking nothing sticks to anything.

I do have a bottle of Mrs, Myers soap next to my sink and I use Finish dish tabs in my dishwasher.

Welcome to the board. I am very sensitive and have used Dawn and Palmolive since diagnosis and have had no issues. Do check out the Newbie 101 thread at the top of the Coping section for a lot of good info and do feeel free to ask any other questions you need. I hope you heal quickly.

Thank you all for your help!

We use Dawn for handwashing and the generic dishwasher soap (comes in a green bottle with yellow lid, forget what knock off brand it is??) and I think I've been doing fine :)

BTW, we've done other articles on this topic that I wanted to share here (not to condone smoking!):

Hi everyone  This has been a crazy year so far... How many people actually get entire sensory overload from gluten or something similar ?  My jaw is going nuts ..and that nerve is affecting my upper back and so on ...  Bones even hurt.  Brain fog. Etc  I had eggs seemed fine.   Then my aid cooked a chicken stir fry in the microwave because my food order shorted a couple key items .   I was so hungry but I noticed light breading and some ingredients with SOY !!! Why are we suffering with soy ? This triggered a sensitivity to bananas and gluten-free yogurt it seems like it's a cycle that it goes on.  The tiniest amount of something gets me I'm guessing the tiny bit of breading that I took one tiny nibble of ...yikes ..im cringing from it .. Feels like my stomach is going to explode yet still very hungry 😔  How long does this last?! Thank you so much

This is an older article, but may be helpful.

I have had orthodontic work done. The 3M invisalign material was no problem. BUT my retainers are another matter. They seemed okay for a few months. Now, however, they cause a burning sensation on my tongue, gums and insides of my lips. The burning sensation is now spreading to my throat. I notice it when I breathe. This is annoying and interferes with my enjoyment of eating. I am visiting with my provider tomorrow. We'll see where this goes from here.

Exactly which blood tests were done? There are a few different ones and some docs don't do them all. Also, your results and reference ranges for each?
