Hey guys so i have been DX with Celiac from blood work april Anti-DGP IgG and confirm biospy in June. I been on the diet since June, not eating out anymore, eating more vegatables, etc. But one thing has not been fixed is seeing oil slick TMI sorry in stool and loose stools. In the last 3 weeks I gotten a cortisone shot on my wrist and i noticed that my stomach has been in more pain and that my bowel movements have been a little loose. My GI believes that I may have pancreatic insufficiency, so ill be waiting on the results and for the steroid shot he thinks its gastritis. What are your thoughts have any of you experience this before. I have seen many specialist throughout these months such as neurologist for muscle twitching, pins and needles, rheumatoid doctor for joint pain caused by antibiotics, i went to the ER had X-ray's and ultrasound on my stomach, they could not find anything.Been tested for Lyme, MRI on my spine and brain nothing EMG on my feet and hands nothing found. My weight fluctuates, I have issues with insomnia and I'm stressed and anxious most of the time. When are things suppose to get better I'm a 25 male.

Welcome!

I am sorry that you are not recovering as fast as you like.  Celiac disease can affect so much more than just your small intestine.  I think your doctor is right about pancreatic insufficiency and gastritis could be very possible.

It takes time to heal.  A long time.  Why?  Because really learning the gluten-free diet takes time.  Mistakes occur and set backs happen.  Most here take a year or more to really feel well.  You are probably dealing with not just celiac disease, so I am glad your GI is investigating.  It is about time to remeasure your antibodies now.  See if they are declining.  As long as they are going down and not up, you are doing well and are on track.

Glad to hear you are not eating out.  Too risky when you are still symptomatic.  Stick to non-processed foods as much as possible as all the additives might make it more difficult to digest especially with pancreatic insufficiency.  Think well-cooked, mushy foods like soups and stews.

Hang in there.  You are not alone!

I have pancreas issues, and take enzymes, I was on a Sliver Fern Version along with Jarrow Porcine Pancreas Enzymes, but have shifted to doctors best for more lipease and the jarrow for breaking down fats more.
Try avoiding anything with emulsifiers like processed foods with guar gum, xantham gum, Konjac, etc. They tend to bind up fats with other foods and can make digestion harder.
I did a post on enzymes and the issues we often have with them and a bit of a viscous cycle with cooking stuff to make it easier to digest destroys natural enzymes in foods. This is a older post before we found out I have issues with my pancreas -_- and it has gotten worse with a gluten exposure since then.

Ichthus is the Greek word (using English letters) for fish. The letters in the actual Greek word form an acronym that come from the first letters in the Greek words for "Jesus", "God's Son," "Savior".   Now, back to your family's denial of your celiac disease, I think you can relate to this:

Thanks for the kind words. It's hard to convince my doctor to investigate further because of a negative blood test and he only tested me for one marker. 🙃 I've come to the point where I need to take this into my own hands because the doctors are infuriating and it's not going anywhere. I've been gluten free for a week and feeling better but I was still consuming dairy and I think that's what's backing me up. Next week no dairy introduced.

Hello mantooth nice to meet you it's so uncanny what you wrote you sound just like me even the back issues are exactly the same and I'm new here too trying to find out if I have the same had I too have been struggling to find answers with my docters I don't have a diagnosis but I've been struggling like forever and was told ibs and health aniexty was my problem but on researching I've come to the conclusion it's probably more because i cut gluten and lactose out for 6 months and  it was a incredible change for me so although I can't help with diagnosis I can say your not alone in trying  to find answers 😊
