So I recently just started a job and I love it. On my birthday (the 22nd, and only my 4th day of work) (we celebrated all December birthdays then and it just so happened to be on my birthday) I found out that one of my co-workers also is Celiac, so I talk to him for a while and everyone is like "wow thats really cool that there are 2 people here with this" so I go to work the next day and he brought me cookies that were gluten-free that he had made because I couldn't partake in the cake and cookies the day before. How nice is that??!?!?

That's awesome-my boss's sister is a celiac (although one that cheats frequently :blink: ), so she empathizes a bit. I got a fruit basket for Christmas, when normally I get stuck trying to fake excitement over a fruitcake or a box of cookies. Congrats!

that is awesome! I had to fake excitement over gifts of cheesecake and cookies and such this year... one of my clients though was about halfway through his massage when all of a sudden he realized that I couldn't have the cheesecake he brought and then he felt really bad... I was the one trying to reassure him that it was really ok, I am used to it and it was the thought that mattered...

one good thing, for our office Christmas "lunch", my boss took us all out to lunch, but he let ME pick out the restaurant so that he could be sure that there would be something that I could eat... I thought that was really thoughtful and nice!

      They may want to also eliminate other possible causes for your symptoms/issues and are doing additional tests.  Here is info about blood tests for celiac disease--if positive an endoscopy where biopsies of your intestinal villi are taken to confirm is the typical follow up.

      In the Europe the new protocol for making a celiac disease diagnosis in children is if their tTg-IgA (tissue transglutaminase IgA) levels are 10 times or above the positive level for celiac disease--and you are above that level. According to the latest research, if the blood test results are at certain high levels that range between 5-10 times the reference range for a positive celiac disease diagnosis, it may not be necessary to confirm the results using an endoscopy/biopsy: Blood Test Alone Can Diagnose Celiac Disease in Most Children and Adults TGA-IgA at or Above Five Times Normal Limit in Kids Indicates Celiac Disease in Nearly All Cases No More Biopsies to Diagnose Celiac Disease in Children! May I ask why you've had so many past tTg-IgA tests done, and many of them seem to have been done 3 times during short time intervals?

      This may sound ridiculous but is this supposed to say Celiacs? I looked up Coeliacs because you never know, there’s a lot of diseases related to a disease that they come up with similar names for. It’s probably meant to say Celiacs but I just wanted to confirm.

      I was told it was to see how much damage has been caused. But just told CT with contrast not any other name for it.
