Hi there,

I wrote a post about a week ago that is filed. You can search my name to find it. Anyway, at the risk of repeating myself, Access Business Group manufactures fabulous, high quality products that are gluten free. You can purchase them through Quixtar.com. The post I listed regarding them explains how to get onto quixtar.com and find someone in your area that distributes them. The best part about their products is that they are very concentrated, meaning they contain no fillers, most are very lightly fragranced. Their Skin care line, Artistry, features a delicate skin care system that's great!

I really recommed trying them out! Also, the corporation has a 90 day money back gaurantee!

I just received this reply from clinique:

Thank you for your interest in Clinique.

While a formulation may contain no wheat, oat, barley or rye derivatives,

for the benefit of our gluten-sensitive consumers who may have

cross-sensitivities, Clinique takes the extra precaution of including corn,

rice and soy in our research.

Facial Soap - Extra Mild contains corn (methyl gluceth-20)

Facial Soap - Mild contains soy (glycerin)

Facial Soap- Oily does not contain any gluten

Liquid Facial Soap - Extra Mild - contains corn (sodium pca, trehalose);

soy (glycerin, processing aid for sodium hyaluronate, tocophertl acetate);

barley extract

Liquid Facial Soap Oily Skin Formula contains corn (tea-cocoyl glutamate,

peg-120 methyl glucose dioleate)

Clarifying Lotion 2 contains soy (glycerin)

Clarifying Lotion 3 contains various grains (alcohol); corn

Dramatically Different Moisturizing Lotion contains soy

All About Eyes contains barley (phytosphingosine), wheat bran extract

Total Turnaround Cream contains barley and wheat

As for the Deep Cleansing Emergency Mask, we are consulting with our

chemist, as soon as we receive the information we will forward it on.

We trust that the above addresses your concern. We hope you will look to

Clinique for all your skin care and makeup needs.

Sincerely,

Katie Morton

      Oats naturally contain a protein called avenin, which is similar to the gluten proteins found in wheat, barley, and rye. While avenin is generally considered safe for most people with celiac disease, some individuals, around 5-10% of celiacs, may also have sensitivity to avenin, leading to symptoms similar to gluten exposure. You may fall into this category, and eliminating them is the best way to figure this out. Some people substitute gluten-free quinoa flakes for oats if they want a hot cereal substitute. If you are interested in summaries of scientific publications on the topic of oats and celiac disease, we have an entire category dedicated to it which is here: https://www.celiac.com/celiac-disease/oats-and-celiac-disease-are-they-gluten-free/
