AN-PEP Enzymes

I am gluten sensitive. Will these enzymes break down on the gluten so that they will be absorbed correctly in the body? Will there still be a chance of getting a leaky gut if I continue to eat gluten on a moderate basis? Would there be any side effects on taking these enzyme pills?

Note that although there is great research that shows AN-PEP can break down gluten in the stomach, before it reaches your intestines, it is not meant to be used to allow someone to cheat on their gluten-free diet. People with celiac disease must maintain a 100% gluten-free diet, and I say this even for those with gluten sensitivity.

That said, the best use for this would be to use this supplement if you should eat outside your home and cannot be 100% sure if there might be gluten contamination in a meal. This has been shown to break down small amounts of gluten in the stomach:

BUT NOT large amounts, so the idea here is it could be helpful for those who get small amounts of contamination from time to time, and in a recent study that was shown to be 90% of celiacs...yes, 90%!

Your response on this matter is what I expect. You’ve had a similar episode years ago, but this one is lasting longer!

I'd like to clarify: Is the pain you describe in the area just below your chest constant, or does it only appear when you start moving?
