gluten-free Soft Pretzel

Ok, can anyone Help. I'm looking for a recipe for a Gluten Free Soft Pretzel. You know, the kind you used to get from either the store in the frozen foods section or the kind you can get at the malls from the pretzel guy!

I've been looking for the past 8 years and still havent found one. I'm thinking there isn't a premade soft pretzel out there, so I'm thinking a recipe is the second best choice.

Anyone have one?

Thanks

Janet

I have a recipie at home that only calls for one package of yeast....I will post it up as soon as I get home. I made it the other day. I even made some of the pretzels with cinnamon and sugar on them like Antie Anns. They tasted wonderful.

This is exactly what I've been looking for. You don't know how long and hard I've searched for this - can't believe I never found it.

Thank you! I can't wait to make some!

I would love the other recipe too with the 1 yeast packet.

JUST made these. I have to say, they are not bad. I messed up a little with the ingreditents, so they were to sticky goey to make into prestle shape, so I made "bites" instead. Topped mine with cinamon and sugar, and they worked well. Put sea salt on some too, but the salt so over powered the prestle that it tasted like I was eating pure salt heh.

They were NOT very impressive without toppings.

I would love to try that other recipe too so hopefully it will be posted soon..

I've used magnesium taurinate and magnesium taurate vitamins.  Didn't notice much of a difference when I used them.

More great tips, and a good excuse to shop at M&S and also buy more iced buns!   I wish we had an ASDA near us, as the few times we've been to one their gluten-free pasta range seemed very reasonably priced compared to other shops.  Thanks so much, @Russ H.

I hope you are on the mend soon. About 1 in 5 people who contracted chicken pox as a child go on to develop shingles in later life - it is not uncommon. There are 5 known members of the herpes virus family including chicken pox that commonly infect humans, and they all cause lifelong infections. The exact cause of viral reactivation as in the case of shingles or cold sores is not well understood, but stress, sunburn and radiotherapy treatment are known triggers. Some of the herpes viruses are implicated in triggering autoimmune diseases: Epstein-Barr virus is suspected of triggering multiple sclerosis and lupus, and there is a case where it is suspected of triggering coeliac disease. As to whether coeliac disease can increase the likelihood of viral reactivation, there have been several cohort studies including a large one in Sweden suggesting that coeliac disease is associated with a moderate increase in the likelihood of developing shingles in people over the age of 50. US 2024 - Increased Risk of Herpes Zoster Infection in Patients with Celiac Disease 50 Years Old and Older Sweden 2018 - Increased risk of herpes zoster in patients with coeliac disease - nationwide cohort study
