Simply Natural Mustard

Hi everyone. My favourite condiment is mustard, and it's been out of my diet for a long time because every time I tried to re-incorporate it, I immediately got dizzy / brain fog.

Today at the grocery store, I thought maybe I would try another brand (I kept trying Kraft, again). I've had some issues with Kraft foods, so I thought I would try a different route.

Anyway, I bought Simply Natural Organic Stone Ground Mustard. The ingredients are Organic Apple Cider Vinegar, Organic Mustard Seed, Salt and Organic Spices (I LOVE when you can understand all the ingredients and there are less than, say, five!)

I've been searching the internet for a website, I cannot find anything. It's made in Bridgeport, NJ, and I cannot find any other info.

Can anyone clarify this one for me? I'd really like it for lunch! B)

By the ingredients, the mustard sounds gluten-free. However, if you keep having issues with mustards, something else is going on. Mustards are almost universally gluten-free (not every single one, mind you). Kraft is gluten-free and so is French's.

Thanks for the reply. I am going to try it, I think.

I meant French's is what I tried - but there are a lot of unorganic stuff in there, and I am having trouble with anything prepared. I assume that, for now, I am just super sensitive.

      good luck! vital wheat gluten made me violently ill. I will touch the stuff ever again.

      I wouldn't consider this lucky. I can NOT tolerate the symptoms. And I googled it and I was not even getting 10 grams of gluten per day and I was extremely ill. They'd have to put me in the hospital. I'm not kidding. I will have my first appt with a GI dr on March 4th I will not eat gluten again - at least not on purpose ...

      My journey is it gluten or fiber?

      What Thiamine Hydrochloride brand do you take? Is it like the other vitamins I have added? What brand Tryptophan and amount do you take. Thanks

      Gluten free Yogurt suggest

      I would not think store bought yogurt would contain gluten unless it possibly could be through an added flavoring or coloring ingredient. Otherwise, it should be naturally gluten free. Keep in mind that some companies are capitalizing on people's fears and ignorance (nothing personal intended) by labeling foods "gluten free" that are just that way by...

      FDA looking for input on Celiac Gluten sensitivity labeling PLEASE READ and submit your suggestions

      I believe the GFCO does use a common logo for certified gluten free products (those containing not more that 10ppm of gluten) but nothing universal yet from the FDA for standard gluten free products (those containing not more that 20ppm).

Otherwise, it should be naturally gluten free.  Keep in mind that some companies are capitalizing on people's fears and ignorance (nothing personal intended) by labeling foods "gluten free" that are just that way by the nature of what they are. They are hoping to create a marketing edge over their competitors by adding "gluten free" because they know it may catch attention of those new to the celiac/gluten sensitivity experience without having to cost them anything in the way of changing their manufacturing process or doing testing.
