Safe beverages for a dairy-free DH sufferer?

I have my DH under control, and am thrilled about that. But now I'd like to widen my diet up. I'm looking for recommendations on things that *should* be safe to drink.

Currently, I drink water, with a little bit of herbal tea and the occasional kombucha.

Dairy is off limits. (I break out/get digestive issues.) I also seem to react to almond milk ... not quite sure why, but it may have to do with the almonds being cross-contaminated. (The almond milk I used to buy said "Gluten Free" on the packaging but was not certified by any governing body.)

Is there anything I can add that is safe, to add a little variety to my bland diet? I'd especially welcome the addition of a beverage that has some calories and vitamins/minerals.

I'd appreciate your collective insights! Thanks!

Have you tried soy milk? I know much of it is GMO, but I believe you can find non-GMO brands, perhaps Silk? Green tea won't add calories but is also great and includes antioxidants.

      Shingles is dormant and related to chicken pox when one has had in the past.Shingles comes out when stress is heightened.I had my 3rd Shingles in 2023.

      Oats naturally contain a protein called avenin, which is similar to the gluten proteins found in wheat, barley, and rye. While avenin is generally considered safe for most people with celiac disease, some individuals, around 5-10% of celiacs, may also have sensitivity to avenin, leading to symptoms similar to gluten exposure. You may fall into this category, and eliminating them is the best way to figure this out. Some people substitute gluten-free quinoa flakes for oats if they want a hot cereal substitute.
