I was at Target on sunday and wanted to buy a generic form of their vitamins and calcium supplements. The ingredients could of had gluten in them so I went over to the pharmacy to ask about it. The pharmacist had no clue and had no litsings of their meds that were gluten-free. I then sent Target an email stating they should have a list of gluten-free prodcuts like their competitiors do. This is the email I got back from them:

Thanks for writing us with your suggestions about Target owned-brand,

gluten-free food and pharmacy items. I'm sorry we're not able to provide a list

of all of our gluten-free items. Your comments are important to us, and I'll be

sure to pass them on to our executives and buyers for further review.

For pharmacy questions, you can always call your nearest Target Pharmacy. To

find this nearest pharmacy, call (800) 800-8800 or use the Store Locator on

Target.com.

Of course, you can also give us a call at (800) 440-0680, or visit us on

Target.com. Either way, we’re here to help!

Becky, I've just got to hope that one day these companies will get it...

I had three cases like that last week, and one company had the nerve to send me the definition of what gluten is <_< . These companies are horrible to deal with.

Good luck

I know! And they had the nerve to say for pharmacy questions ask your nearest pharmacy! Hello! I told you they didn't know anything! I replied and stated that I will start shopping at Walmart where they label their products gluten-free and know about their own brands!

Good for you Becky.. I would rather shop at a place that knows their own products. Thanks!

Sorry that happened to you, Becky!!

I'm glad to know that info on the vitamins too.

I'm not ready to jump to Wal-Mart though... hard to find any english speaking employees at any of the ones I've been in. The stores feel "dirty and old" to me too.

I used to hate walmart! They were all nasty around me! Until I found the Walmart Super center in Maple Grove!! It is so nice! Are there any of those down your way?

They just turned the Shakopee store into a Super Center not too long ago. I do go in there occasionally if I'm at Sams Club or the Michaels in the same area but it's already yucky.

That sucks! I was so impressed by the one in Maple grove! But that is a bit far for you!

BTW, we've done other articles on this topic that I wanted to share here (not to condone smoking!):

Hi everyone  This has been a crazy year so far... How many people actually get entire sensory overload from gluten or something similar ?  My jaw is going nuts ..and that nerve is affecting my upper back and so on ...  Bones even hurt.  Brain fog. Etc  I had eggs seemed fine.   Then my aid cooked a chicken stir fry in the microwave because my food order shorted a couple key items .   I was so hungry but I noticed light breading and some ingredients with SOY !!! Why are we suffering with soy ? This triggered a sensitivity to bananas and gluten-free yogurt it seems like it's a cycle that it goes on.  The tiniest amount of something gets me I'm guessing the tiny bit of breading that I took one tiny nibble of ...yikes ..im cringing from it .. Feels like my stomach is going to explode yet still very hungry 😔  How long does this last?! Thank you so much

I have had orthodontic work done. The 3M invisalign material was no problem. BUT my retainers are another matter. They seemed okay for a few months. Now, however, they cause a burning sensation on my tongue, gums and insides of my lips. The burning sensation is now spreading to my throat. I notice it when I breathe. This is annoying and interferes with my enjoyment of eating. I am visiting with my provider tomorrow. We'll see where this goes from here.

Exactly which blood tests were done? There are a few different ones and some docs don't do them all. Also, your results and reference ranges for each?
