Making food - gluten-free food around other people

Hello. Does anyone else struggle to prepare their gluten-free food around other people. I cant help but freak out when people go near my food like they have gluten on them or something. Am i being silly or can this actually affect my food.

It sounds like you may fall into the super-sensitive category, and if so, these feelings may be an overreaction, but one based on real experiences you've had in the past. If the people around you are bakers covered in wheat flour, it's highly unlikely that their mere presence in the room where you are preparing your food would be risky. It's probably better for you to focus on the surfaces, cutting boards, pots, pans, etc., you use, especially if you share a kitchen with people who prepare gluten-laden foods.

      I've had ibs for years however I have noticed recently when I've had alcohol and then the usual hangover takeaway I get a whole range of symptoms. To start with  Gurgling in stomach  Brain fog Occasional cramps  Diarrhea  Severe constipation where it comes out in slithers and very dry  Knot in lower right abdo side. Sensitive area to touch  Alot of mucus when passing stools  Feel sick    Had tests done but all came back okay apart from low in vitamin d

      Thanks for the kind words. It's hard to convince my doctor to investigate further because of a negative blood test and he only tested me for one marker. 🙃 I've come to the point where I need to take this into my own hands because the doctors are infuriating and it's not going anywhere. I've been gluten free for a week and feeling better but I was still consuming dairy and I think that's what's backing me up. Next week no dairy introduced.

      Hello mantooth nice to meet you it's so uncanny what you wrote you sound just like me even the back issues are exactly the same and I'm new here too trying to find out if I have the same had I too have been struggling to find answers with my docters I don't have a diagnosis but I've been struggling like forever and was told ibs and health aniexty was my problem but on researching I've come to the conclusion it's probably more because i cut gluten and lactose out for 6 months and  it was a incredible change for me so although I can't help with diagnosis I can say your not alone in trying  to find answers 😊
