Hi my daughter was diagnosed at birth with Down syndrome and Hirschsprung’s disease. We have had multiple surgery’s to help with Hirschsprung’s but she recently got diagnosed with celiac as well. Just wonder if anyone else has a kiddo with both diagnoses and how to many both. How do you tell which disease is cause problems since symptoms and the same or similar in both.

This topic has only come up once, a long time ago, and it looks like nobody replied to it:

I also found these two interesting research articles:

https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/3658806/

https://www.researchgate.net/publication/223957151_Celiac_Disease_and_Diabetes_Mellitus_Diagnosed_in_a_Pediatric_Patient_with_Hirschsprung_Disease

Evidently celiac disease can mimic Hirschsprung's in some cases. I wish I had more info, but there doesn't seem to be much of a connection established between the two, at least so far.

Your response on this matter is what I expect. You’ve had a similar episode years ago, but this one is lasting longer!

I'd like to clarify: Is the pain you describe in the area just below your chest constant, or does it only appear when you start moving?

Shingles is dormant and related to chicken pox when one has had in the past.Shingles comes out when stress is heightened.I had my 3rd Shingles in 2023.
