They don't have allergen warnings on the label, so they would likely be naturally gluten-free.

is it a requirement to list wheat if they carried it?

Scott Adams Grand Master

In the USA they would need to list wheat if it were a possible allergen, and it would appear at the end of the ingredients like this:

Allergens: Wheat, Milk, Shellfish, etc.

What if labels say, made on equipment that may have soy, wheat, nuts etc. should we assume they are gluten free if not an ingredient?

Scott Adams Grand Master

This would be up to you to decide. Many celiacs avoid product with such labels, and especially those who are very sensitive. Sometimes companies that used shared equipment have additional info on their sites which discuss their cleaning procedures.

Hi,

If it says it may contain Wheat then it DOES! I knows a lot of nuts are crossed contaminated with gluten. If you are not that sensitive you should be fine. I know I cannot have nuts from Nuts.com because they are crossed. If you eat nuts from Nuts.com I am assuming you could eat most nuts out there.

For clarification, "may contain wheat" does not mean that it does contain wheat. Many companies use CYA statements like this, and if you investigate further you may find out that a product likely doesn't contain wheat. But it is always best to simply find products that are labelled gluten-free, or at the very least don't say "may contain wheat."

Reached out to Kirkland brand about organic raw unsalted cashews. They are the ones that said made on same equipment with wheat and other allergens. Have yet to get a response.

Thank you that’s really helpful, hopeful won’t have to have a biopsy.

That means the normal range (i.e. not celiac disease) would be a result less than 14.99.  Your result is WAY above that. Some gastroenterologists would diagnose that as celiac disease even without a confirming biopsy because it is more than ten times the top of the normal range.

Hi everyone. Back in 2022 I had blood work drawn for iga ext gliadin. Since then I’ve developed worse stomach issues and all other health issues. My doctor just said cut out gluten. He did no further testing. Please see my test results attached. I just need some direction cause I feel so ill and the stomach pain is becoming worse. Can this test show indications for other gastrointestinal diseases?

Thank you. These were the results TTG ABS NUMERICAL: > 250.0 U/mL [< 14.99]  Really don’t understand the results!

Clearly from what you've said the info on Dailymed is much more up to date than the other site, which hasn't been updated since 2017. The fact that some companies might be repackaging drugs does not mean the info on the ingredients is not correct.
