I was diagnosed with Celiac Disease via an intestinal biopsy by an internist in Corbin, Kentucky 18 years ago. At that time, I had lost so much weight that my family and friends were certain that I was suffering from an eating disorder and was slowly killing myself. While under his care; I soared. I relocated back to Indiana when my health was stabilized. Unfortunately, medical professionals here have been skeptical and basically have ignored my truth. What is it going to take before our society, especially those who are in positions to assist us, will stand up. We are all aware of the dangers related to cancer, diabetes, etc. These issues are definitely real, of course. But so is Celiac Disease! As May is Celiac Awareness Month, I encourage all to spread awareness on social media or to set up a local time for real talk with community. Best wishes to you all.

      I’m in a flare up with rib pain. I read where others have experienced this after exposure to gluten.  Has anyone found something that eases the pain.

      Yes, I've read that online but I was just surprised that no one has mentioned it on this forum specifically.  We have not had our follow up meeting with the Dr where I'm sure she will advise as to how he needs to deal with this ailment.  I have learned from past health issues - if you want to find the REAL truth - talk to someone living with the disease.  THEY will know way more than any doctor ever could.    Thanks for responding.
