Anyone who has eaten pickles, kimchee, and other fermented foods has had probiotics, but I think you are referring to a supplemental version, which I've also used.  Probiotics are beneficial for gut health as they help maintain a healthy balance of gut bacteria, improve digestion, boost the immune system, and reduce symptoms of gastrointestinal issues like bloating and diarrhea. They also contribute to better nutrient absorption and overall well-being.

Hi ,thanks for your reply  ,yes it's the supplements I was referring to ,there's just so much choice it's confusing about best one to get any advice on this thanks

I can't recommend a specific brand, but be sure it says "gluten-free" on the bottle.

Yes saw them in shop so will give them a go ,I was actually hospitalised for 2 wks recently with stomach pain nausea not eating  they did a coeliac blood screen no antibodies to gluten found so it's not that to get gsstroscopy and flexisig scope hopefully soon but symptoms continue so frustrating as getting no answers but thanks for your reply ,I find this forum so helpful

If you are getting an endoscopy for celiac disease be sure to keep eating gluten, lots of it daily, for at least 2 weeks before the procedure.

Approximately 10x more people have non-celiac gluten sensitivity than have celiac disease, but there isn’t yet a test for NCGS. If your symptoms go away on a gluten-free diet it would likely signal NCGS.

BTW, we've done other articles on this topic that I wanted to share here (not to condone smoking!):

Hi everyone  This has been a crazy year so far... How many people actually get entire sensory overload from gluten or something similar ?  My jaw is going nuts ..and that nerve is affecting my upper back and so on ...  Bones even hurt.  Brain fog. Etc  I had eggs seemed fine.   Then my aid cooked a chicken stir fry in the microwave because my food order shorted a couple key items .   I was so hungry but I noticed light breading and some ingredients with SOY !!! Why are we suffering with soy ? This triggered a sensitivity to bananas and gluten-free yogurt it seems like it's a cycle that it goes on.  The tiniest amount of something gets me I'm guessing the tiny bit of breading that I took one tiny nibble of ...yikes ..im cringing from it .. Feels like my stomach is going to explode yet still very hungry 😔  How long does this last?! Thank you so much

This is an older article, but may be helpful.

I have had orthodontic work done. The 3M invisalign material was no problem. BUT my retainers are another matter. They seemed okay for a few months. Now, however, they cause a burning sensation on my tongue, gums and insides of my lips. The burning sensation is now spreading to my throat. I notice it when I breathe. This is annoying and interferes with my enjoyment of eating. I am visiting with my provider tomorrow. We'll see where this goes from here.

Exactly which blood tests were done? There are a few different ones and some docs don't do them all. Also, your results and reference ranges for each?
