By the way...my appt. with the OBGYN is tommorrow at 3:30.....hopefully I get something out of that appt. since I've waited a lifetime for it....well, at least 30 pages or so. ;)

This thread thing reminds me of when my sister and I talk for 3 hours on the phone. (we live in different states, and don't talk every week). My husband, or hers, will say--so, what did you two talk about? Well, only about 17,000 things, and I can't name one!! :lol:

Patti - - do you not have an unlimited long distance plan? My whole phone bill is $55 a month, covers DSL, all phone services, and unlimited long distance (in the US) - - - can't live without it as friends are scattered everywhere....just think, you could call your sister all the time! :rolleyes:

Rachel - - - hope it's a fruitful appointment!

Susan--I do actually :) I have Verizon that includes unlimited calling and my DSL internet connection (lifeline) :D I think we just get busy, and we know that every time we get on the phone, it's 2-3 hours regardless of how long it's been! She has a full time job and 2 young-ish girls, so we just don't talk as much as we'd like. It is nice, though to not have to "watch the clock" when making phone calls any more!

Patti, too true and too funny.

I think this thread is fabulous. It just strikes me that this is exactly what women do when we get together, we talk about everything and we do that because everything is connected to us. This thread has helped me to understand the frustration I have had on another board that seems to be dominated by men. The discussions are specific to the one topic and then they end which lots of times is just right but sometimes you want something that is broader and deeper than just one topic. This thread contains the community of, seems like, women who show up and anyone is welcome to. Susan....you have to tell me about this. I'm still using dial-up and let me tell you...it sucks!!! Everyone tells me DSL is expensive. I already pay about $45 for unlimited long disatnce but how do I get the DSL thrown in too? I was told DSL alone costs over $50 a month. :unsure:

This thread contains the community of, seems like, women who show up and anyone is welcome to. It is a gracious space, I have felt so at home and so happy to be here even though I kind of crashed in somewhere around page 76.

I have cable internet (which I think is better than DSL?) and I pay $24/month. You should look into it.

Thanks....I gotta do something cuz I'm spoiled on my Moms computer all week with DSL and then I go home to my computer and I feel like I'm in the stone age or something. :huh:

I get impatient and frusterated.

Jersey...I also dont like to pin much cuz it takes too long on that computer..sorry. :ph34r:

Rachel - - just call SBC and ask what is the best deal they can give you. Tell them your friend gets everthing - caller ID, call waiting caller ID, and one more feature (I think I have call forwarding but don't use it), PLUS DSL, and unlimited long distance. It's soo-per! Also - ask them about their "bundle plans" they were advertising a while ago. Don't know if those still work, but, you should be able to negotiate a good deal wtih SBC, and talk them down - - - they seem to have negotiating powers as I just got my DSL down from 20 to 14 a month, because I knew someone else who had that price.

Please note, it's a two-year commitment, I think, and if you back out early it's something like a $200 fine, so just make sure you can commit to the time. You will LOVE DSL if you've still been using dial-up!

So it's become a pajama party, and I can join in??? :rolleyes: It's such a long thread, every now and then I check in and see that it has nothing to do wtih eating dairy...... :)

Yeah....and for the record I cant eat dairy. It was just some crazy idea I got that didnt last more than a few days at most. :rolleyes:

Too bad I cant go back and change the title...to something like "OMG...I may never figure all this out" "but lets all have a slumber party instead". :P

      Thanks for the update, Ben. If you will be having an endoscopy/biopsy to confirm the results of the blood testing - and this would be the normal protocol - you will still need to continue the gluten challenge until that is done.

      Update on how things went. To meet my daily quantity of gluten I had a measured amount of gluten flour with my breakfast and 2 slices of bread later in the day. I still had discomfort but it wasn't debilitating. My blood tests results came back this week and they were positive so I've been referred to a specialist.

What test should I request to see what the hell is causing my skin to have?I don't know what to call it.I do sleep with my indoor cats.I also have an inheritance cat two years ago who took to sleeping with me as well.I also was on topiramate but had to stop because of speech issues, memory and it can affect those with  kidney stones. I did suffer kidney stones in past.So i had to completely stop.Since freaking out of what i KNOW what I saw, i took matters in my own hands and decided to eat several whole cloves a day.Since doing so, though im not to eat garlic.My skin is actually clearing up sloooooooooowly.but then again I just started 4 days ago and already notice a difference. My husband thinks im seeing things.I know what I see and feel. what test is there to ask doctor about what is in my skin? Husband thinks im seeing things, because of the meningioma and stopping meds.i know what i saw.

      Vitamin A is important for vision health. But be careful in supplementing it as it can lead to toxicity. Research it and consult with your medical professional. I do not have a definite answer to your original question but I was pursuing the possible cause of nutritional deficiency. But your visual deterioration could be unrelated to your celiac disease so don't rule that out.

      Currently 19. Doctors think I was 1 year old when celiac started, but I wasn't diagnosed until 18, because they didn't do lab work on minors. I've been on a strict gluten-free diet for 14 months now. For example only certified gluten-free nuts and I've researched best brands a lot. I take B vitamins, vitamin D, vitamin C, Curcumin with black pepper, black sesame and green tea extract, magnesium, iron, and a little selenium and zinc, beef liver capsules. I recently had my vitamin and mineral levels retested and D is the only one I don't have enough of now. I had my eyes tested at 17 and they were good back then.
