Hello!

I have recently been contacted to participate in a research study on celiac disease at the Beth Israel Hospital. I will attach some of the details that I received in an email. There is no compensation (other than validated parking and gluten-free snacks), and the obvious of helping in the research on celiac disease and spreading awareness!

I asked if it would be ok to post the details of the study on this forum and was given the ok. Please contact Jessica at the number below or email her at jgeorge1@bidmc.harvard.edu if you are interested (she is very nice). The study seems very interesting...

I look forward to doing it and helping the celiac community! :)

Hi Meg,

This is Jessica from The Celiac Center at BIDMC. I was wondering if you might be interested in participating in our current research study for people with celiac disease. It requires filling out 4 surveys, meeting with the nutritionist and bringing in a 3-day food record, and providing a blood sample. You were interested in one of our focus groups back in Sept I figured you may be interested in this study. Is this something that you might be interested in participating in? Wed and Fri's are completely research days for us so we have alot of appointments on those days. It takes about 2 hrs and we validate parking and provide some gluten-free snacks. We have seen a lull in our recruitment and are really trying to make our target number of 150 by the end of June so please let me know. Thanks!

Jessica
