Could This Be The Culprit

Hi Everyone, Well today we went to a town about 1 hour from home to shop as I live in a small town pop.1000. On the way we stopped at Dairy Queen and not really thinking I ordered a Buster Bar and ate it. By the time we got to the store about 20 minutes later I had to find a bathroom and there it was. Same ole problem. Felt like I ate a box of laxatives instead of Buster Bar. Does anyone know for sure is this is the culprit or do I need to figure out what else might be causing this. Hidden dangers are all around I guess and I should have found out before opening my big mouth to eat it. If there is a lesson in this it is always check first or you might not make it to a bathroom. Don't feel too bad now but really bloaty feeling and stiffness back full force. Thanks for letting me vent and if someone knows about Buster bars let me know please.

Do you think you're casein intolerant, or do buster bars have gluten in them?

I did a search, and it looks like the Buster bar contains crushed oreo cookies! I say that should pose a problem.

Ursala, You are a saint! Thank you so much! How stupid of me! Well Goodbye Buster Bars!! Oh well I'll find another treat, Thanks again!

Hi, What exactly is casein? How do you know if you are intolerant of it? Yes, Ursala said Buster bars have oreo cookies in them. Well atleast I know my system really is getting better to react that strongly to something so fast. I used to just have a constant problem with loose stool :( but now I was normal in that department so prior to yesterday, I was doing things right!

Casein is the protein in milk. Some people with celiac disease are also allergic to casein.

Do eggs have casein? I seem to feel sick when eating the whites.

eggs are casein-free. you could have an egg intolerance through, or you could be allergic to egg whites. i believe that's fairly common.

I was reading about egg whites last night on www.mercola.com. Just search egg white. He says don't eat them. I'd post it for you but my computer skills need improving. This is a good site. LindaLee

Thank you ,it’s been a long road for me for having both now ,what upsets the most is that if they discovered that I also have cealiac earlier I would not have injested gluten if I was aware. Double whammy.

Some interesting articles regarding the use of Zinc Carnosine to help heal gastric ulcers, gastritis and intestinal permeability. I would consult a medical professional about it's use. https://www.nature.com/articles/ncpgasthep0778 https://www.rupahealth.com/post/clinical-applications-of-zinc-carnosine---evidence-review https://pmc.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/articles/PMC7146259/ https://www.fallbrookmedicalcenter.com/zinc-l-carnosine-benefits-dosage-and-safety/

He is. Which makes everything even more difficult. I’m not a believer in “staying for the kids” but I have nowhere to go and it’s not just me, it’s me plus my babies. We live in a beautiful place, lots of land in the country and me and the kids love the place we’ve called home for their entire lives. But Im seeing that he’ll never change, that my kids deserve a happy healthy Momma, and that staying in this as is will be the early death of me. Then I look at the scars covering my entire body…this disease and the chronic stress I’ve been enduring for years that tell me I’m no longer beautiful and no one will ever look at me with interest again. I try self care, try to give myself grace so I can just start loving myself enough to gain strength but the slightest sparkle in my eye and skip in my step attracts his wrath and it all comes crashing ten fold. Life is just absolutely railing me from every single direction leaving me wanting to wave that white flag bc I don’t feel like there’s much hope no matter what happens.
