Is Losing Hair On Shins Related To Celiacs?

Ok, this is rather odd, and I always wondered why it happened to me, but on the lower part of my shins I have no hair, below that point, yep, above, most definitly. I suppose it could be socks, but wouldn't the hair be gone lower on my shin? Just curious. :)

I will note that I used to race bicycles, criteriums, road races, time trials, etc as part of the club team at my college. So as part of that I used to shave my legs, so perhaps this could be related, though I have plenty of hair elsewhere on my legs.

Thanks,

Mike

My dad had that. He always thought it was because he wore jeans all the time. My uncle has it too. I however, being a girl, was never so lucky to lose the hair on my legs.

Do a quick search on cortisone/cortisol. I read somewhere (when I was on prednisone) that a cortisol imbalance in your body can make the hair on your legs fall out, and I think it was below the knees. Don't just take my word for it - I've had a hectic week. But you might try looking it up.

Your response on this matter is what I expect. You’ve had a similar episode years ago, but this one is lasting longer!

I'd like to clarify: Is the pain you describe in the area just below your chest constant, or does it only appear when you start moving?

Shingles is dormant and related to chicken pox when one has had in the past.Shingles comes out when stress is heightened.I had my 3rd Shingles in 2023.

Thank you for the links to the articles.  Interesting reading. I'll be telling my brother in law because he has a lot of pain
