They claim that their products are gluten-free. The person doing the demo meeting tonight said that the Celiac Sprue Association did testing and it was gluten free. I still don't know if I agree with that because the "veggie tablet" has barley and oats. Has anyone heard of this product? Any info would be greatly appreicative. Thanks.

I would doubt that it's OK. There would be a high risk of contamination. I asked a similar question not long ago, but can't remember the title of the post. Someone explained that the oats or barley grass could still have a kernel of grain and that would contaminate the product.

Be cautious until you get a definitive answer from someone here who has more experience with this.

I am glad to see this post!! I was just invited to a "Juice Plus Party". My neighbor's mom sells it. It is this Monday night. I was afraid to go because of so many vitimans having gluten. My neighbor swears by it and is convinced that it will help me. I am glad that she is thinking of me, but at the same time, it is hard to explain the details of it when people don't want to know.

I'll just play it by ear I guess!!

I use a mangosteen product that is gluten free. It's awesome!

Thanks for the answers. The lady doing this had information on paper and said that she has researched it because she has an uncle who is a celiac. I still don't want to try it. She did have free samples to try, I passed because I really didn't want the after effects(Didn't want to chance it). I have been feeling pretty good lately and I don't want to slide down the ladder!! I might try and see if I can find the other post. Again thanks for answering my question.

I would SO love to try Juice Plus, but I haven't for the same reasons! I have a son whom I suspect has DH (soon to be tested), and he could really use a good vitamin. If anyone gets a definite answer about Juice Plus, please post it! I would love to find out that they truly are gluten free!

Thanks Scott. They are gluten-free but cross contaminated.

Hi there @MCAyr I have a small umbilical hernia which came about during my second pregnancy.   I can just about see it, and feel it, when I stand or sit, but it is far less noticeable when I lie down.  I always know when I am putting on weight because I can get pain and burning near the site, funnily enough not on the hernia itself but either side!  I would imagine bloating could cause the same effect as weight gain. In my case I don't think it is my bowel protruding but a bit of fat  - sorry,  I realise this isn't painting a very pretty picture.  But in truth it is scarcely noticeable.  It has never really got bigger in size. I was rather hoping that it could be operated on but here in the UK they don't seem to operate on every hernia anymore.  My GP isn't remotely worried about it. In a way, I should be thankful - it is like an early warning system that I need to go on a diet! Cristiana

The hernia description would likely be unrelated to celiac disease, but you'd need to get it checked out by your doctor to be sure it's a hernia.
