They're hooters.

:o

Hah! :lol::rolleyes:

Charles is getting quite fed up wif our Elsie, as all of the stuffed toys (about ten of them, everything from gorillas to elves, all without choke-y eyes) that were packed for us by his foster-owner have been fairly destroyed.

Charles lies with one between his big paws and lovingly nibbles at it, then falls asleep with it under his chin. Elsie gets hold of one and has all appendages ripped off within minutes.

Twice since Charles's arrival I have heard Elsie, in the middle of the night, throwing up. Sure enough, both times I found two large, soggy, furry stuffed legs and a couple of big elephant ears in her vomit. These are the number two breed on the list of smartest dogs, pholks .... . ...

Charles just stares at Elsie as she attacks his adored li'l toys, thinking, I am certain, "What in hell is UP with you?... .. These are MY things. Oh, hell, lookit this, she's EATING the damned thing! You are no purebred, baby"... . . .. ....

Well,Peeps, I'm having a cooking sort of afternoon. Made a batch of bicuits, cooked up a bunch of hamburgs with sauted onion for the freezer, steamed broccoli for din. Now, I'm going to make some cheese sauce, roast a chicken, and make some mashed potatoes. Then, I'll probably be so sick of lookin at food, I won't be able to eat!

What's with the kid that can't get his pants on, the dog that eats his buddies animal friens, the wierd card, A NEW AND SOON GRANDCHILDS, and boobs, boobs, and more boobs? What's with all that?

NEED AN IN-HOUSE SHRINK HERE! B)

Happily, after 5 years dairy free I can tolerate it again :D

But, I used to use Spectrum Shortening and light olive oil for baking. If I wanted a buttery flavor, I used Smart Balance, although that has a tiny amount of whey that I could get away with. Earth Balance has a few dairy free choices, too. The sticks are like shortening, and they have a dairy free buttery spread that I think would work fine in a recipe like rice crispy treats. Those would probably be her best bet. :)

You cananadiens are wierd, wild guys, and your pets have strange dietary needs. And, your minds are ever so slightly Deranged. Is this because you have a low population density? Or, a dense population?

And, as a person who lives not that far from Cananada, Can I catch it? Is ther an h1c1 fake vaccine for it? You can make fab Holloween costumes out of heavy-duty Reynolds Wrap.

Coffee!!!!!!

Back when I was sick, I could not tolerate it so I simply stopped trying. I went to tea and all was good.

Today, I thought--the heck with it, I'm having myself a cup of coffee! Say-la-vee!! :D

So far, so good--I'm wired beyond belief, but that's ok

In the process of drinking a mango Kombucha tea--anyone else drink these? Is there a brand that tastes less like ass than others? This is the only one I can manage to choke down, the smell by itself is enough to make my stomach churn right now...Open Original Shared Link

Catholic Shampoo

While shopping in a food store, two nuns happened to pass by the beer.

The first nun said it would be nice to enjoy a beer. The second nun

answered that, indeed, it would be very nice to have one, but that she

wouldn't feel comfortable about buying it. The first nun replied that

she could handle that without a problem, so, she picked up a six-pack

and took it to the cashier.

The cashier had a s urprised look on his face, so the nun said, 'We use

beer for washing our hair; a sort of shampoo, if you will.' Without

blinking an eye, the cashier reached under the counter, pulled out a

package of pretzel sticks and placed them in the bag with the beer. He

then looked the nun straight in the eye, smiled, and said, 'The curlers

are on the house.'

I put lotion on every morning.  I also eat a banana every morning.  Sometimes I wash my hands prior to eating my banana and sometimes I do not.  I started noticing a reaction and couldn't figure out what it was from.  I found this thread regarding Lubriderm lotions.  (Actually there are several, but this is the most recent, which is why I am replying here.) This thread did not provide a definitive answer, so I contacted the manufacturer via their website.  Below is their exact reply.  I inquired about two of their products, Daily Moisturizer (in the white/blue bottle) and Advanced Therapy (in the white/pink bottle).  In short, Lubriderm IS NOT guaranteed to be gluten-free. --Start quote: Thank you for contacting Lubriderm®. We appreciate your interest in our products. Kenvue fully complies with all regulations on ingredients in the countries in which our products are sold. Wherever regulatory authorities have set limits on certain ingredients, our product formulations either meet those limits or contain a lesser amount of the regulated ingredient. We are committed to maintaining the high standards of quality and safety that have been our hallmark for generations of consumers. Although the gluten was not added to the Daily Moisture Lotion, we cannot guarantee that cross-contamination with gluten did not occur in the manufacturing process. In addition, some of the ingredients in the product may have been purchased by us from outside distributors, and we cannot say with absolute certainty that cross-contamination did not occur at their facilities. We recommend that you speak with your treating physician if you are concerned that, with your particular sensitivity, the product’s listed ingredients may trigger an allergic reaction.  Thank you for understanding. Hello @Heavenly Flower Welcome to the forum!  It will take time to master the diet and find what foods you can eat but I'd suggest what might make it easier is to keep a food diary.   You can write down what you ate, and then any symptoms that arise in a day.  Patterns do start to emerge. Also, it is worth bearing in mind that sometimes intolerances are temporary. I was temporarily dairy intolerant following diagnosis, and my gastroenterologist advised I should come off dairy for 3 weeks to see if it helped with painful lower abdominal bloating, and it did.  As I have healed I have been able to consume it again. If you get symptoms consuming 'pure oats' (gluten free oats, i.e. oats grown apart from and processed separately to gluten containing crops, andthe only oats we as coeliacs should be eating), the advice here in the UK is to stop eating them, then try them again in about six months.   Not to discourage you but it too me some years to be able to eat them without getting a sore stomach, but now so long as I don't overdo things, I can eat them every day.

Welcome to celiac.com, @Heavenly Flower!  You're off to a good start but you can certainly branch out some. White rice is fairly devoid of nutrition. Baked potatoes with the skin (washed) would be a better choice for the starch unless, that is, you don't do well with members of the nightshade family. Yams or sweet potatoes would be even better because of the beta carotene. Do you have issues with eggs and dairy? How about fresh fish? What about fresh fruit? There are also non gluten alternative grains like quinoa, buckwheat (not related to wheat) groats and sorghum that are sold by companies like Bob's Red Mill that can be used for hot breakfast cereals. Gluten free oats is also an option, though some celiacs can't do oats because the protein in them (avenin) is similar enough to gluten to cause a reaction. Gluten is found only in wheat, barley and rye.

I was just diagnosed with celiac disease after Thanksgiving. I can't imagine what all you had to do to get all the information you have, it just seems so overwhelming. I am still trying to figure it all out and don't know if the information I'm getting is correct. I have been eating only white rice and chicken breast, pork, or steak and fresh vegetables.  Gluten free pretzels and rice cakes to snack on. But that's about it cause I don't know what I can eat it's to overwhelming.  I don't even know what symptom to look for for possible cross contamination cause I also have microscopic Colitis which has the same symptoms as celiac disease. I'm hoping at least being on this forum I can get information that will help me figure it all out. Sorry I am not able to help you and hope you get the relief you are looking for.
