Got Appt For Allergy Tests..

I guess on monday someone had called to my house to book for allergy tests in Regina, but obviously i'm not in Canora at the moment. So mom gave me the #, and I called yesterday...

My allergy tests are going to be on Dec 1! Which isnt too horribly bad of a wait i guess. Last time they were a 2 day test...but this is a different dude and she said its just 1 day, 30 - 45 mins.

All this that's been going on tho (the waiting for more than 1 appt, seeing the specialist in 8 days, etc) has just been sooooo overwhelming for me that I havent been able to focus/study for the hardest midterm I have (which is in 4 hours from now).

Its not like my teacher would understand or take it as an excuse...

And yesterday when I went to tell the front office at the desk to say I'd be missing another day, she said "Are you not feeling well???" with this super concerned look on her face. Not sure why--that made me feel more overwhelmed about it...

Time to get to school and study I guess. but thought I'd fill you in on the appt first..any comments?

Do you know anything about what kind of testing they will use for your allergy tests? Skin prick? ELISA-style (analysis of a small blood sample)? I don't want to add to your feeling of being overwhelmed but I might suggest you read my post from last night on ELISA testing. It has a link to follow to read an article. There is a lot of controversy over the accuracy and reliability of food allergy/sensitivity testing. Also, how accurate and reliable the testing is may depend a lot on the lab it is sent to and how careful they are to not introduce contaminants.
