Online Food Journaling

For those of you who haven't been following my progress on my other topic "Isagenix Weight Management Program", I have lost 16 pounds in the last 35 days and have lost over 30 inches over my body. I am so happy and continue to lose weight daily.

I feel part of my success though is that I have joined an online support group called Open Original Shared Link and I am able to journal all of the things I eat each meal and it will calculate all of the calores-fats-protein-sodium-sugars-carbs-fiber etc. for me so that I can see where I need to make changes and I can stay on track more easily. It is a free website, but you can upgrade to a paid membership for a low fee (1 month, 6 months, 1 year or lifetime options) and then you can do things like add your own custom foods and set your own target goals apart from the standard 2000 calorie RDA and such. It was a must for me to be able to add my own foods with the Isagenix supplements I take as well as all the gluten-free foods that aren't normally on the lists. Anyone who is interested in journaling their food intake and monitoring their weightloss should check it out. Many people there have found that just being there has helped them to get serious and lose weight, just from watching what they eat and making healthier food choices.

Look for me there if you do check out the site. I am gf4life there too!

Open Original Shared Link is also a good, free site for food journally. It will also do exercise tracking as well.

Congrats on how well things are going!

I used Fitday.com for a long time, as well. Now I've gone back to the traditional hand written journal since I'm not focused on caloric intake and exercise so much as I'm focused on NOT eating gluten. Plus it's easier for me to see any connections by paging back and looking at what I ate and how I felt.

But I loved fitday - very convenient!

Congrats on the progress!

Courtney

The Lindt (Lindor) dairy-free oat milk truffles are definitely gluten-free, and (last time I checked) so are the white chocolate truffles and the mint chocolate truffles.

I've used magnesium taurinate and magnesium taurate vitamins.  Didn't notice much of a difference when I used them.

More great tips, and a good excuse to shop at M&S and also buy more iced buns!   I wish we had an ASDA near us, as the few times we've been to one their gluten-free pasta range seemed very reasonably priced compared to other shops.  Thanks so much, @Russ H.
