Those Of You Who Had A Positive Blood Test

We had Ryan blood tested last week and the results should be in tomorrow. I have to say that over the course of his life - he seems healthier now than he has been. His asthma is well under control, his allergy symptoms are there, he is complaining way less about belly aches and leg pains and in general is having a good time of things right now. I haven't given him any more whole wheat products, which is what was given him the severe stomach pain, and I'm thinking I should have.

Did it make a difference when you were tested or others in your family were tested? Thanks. :)

It would just be so nice to know for sure one way or the other, and I'm praying if it is celiac it would show up because my husband is not being very accepting at this point.

I was extremely sick when my blood test came back positive. My Dr. said I was very close to dying... my daughter on the other hand, was mildly sick, had a lot of symptoms but was functional at daycare, it was more of behavioral issues with her and of course the diarrhea and vomiting and rashes, but her test was still negative. However, she responded miraculously to the diet. My husband was skeptical at first because her test was negative, but because she responded so well to the diet he could not deny it, especially when she did get ahold of some gluten after being gluten-free for a while and it instantly made her very sick. He's convinced now. Positive dietary response is absolutely a valid diagnostic tool and if the diet works it's easy to see the results. And easier to convince doubting Thomases if they can see the evidence for themselves. Keep a food journal and track symptoms so you have it well documented.

DW and I had to convince the doc to do a blood test. WHen the results came back, I had lost almost 40 lbs, and was dropping weight like it was going out of style. I was not "sick" but was not "healthy" either.

I had a variety of symptoms, and they were getting so bad I was having PVCs (heart palpatations) just before my dx.

Now though, WAY better.

"Conclusions: The urinary iodine level was significantly lower in women with postmenopausal osteoporosis, and iodine replacement may be important in preventing osteoporosis"  Body iodine status in women with postmenopausal osteoporosis Low iodine can cause thyroid problems, but Iodine deficiency will not show up in thyroid tests.  Iodine is important for healing, its job is to kill off defective and aging cells (Apoptosis). Skin, brain fog, nails, muscle tone all inproved when I started taking 600 mcg (RDA 150 - 1000 mcg) of Liquid Iodine drops. Some with dermatitis herpetiformis, Iodine exacerbates the rash.  I started at 1 drop (50 mcg) and worked up to 12 drops, but I don't have dermatitis herpetiformis.

Thank you so much for sharing your experience and I found myself giggling with happiness as I read how your body reached such spring! And I hope that your current journey is also successful!! Definitely starting the food diary! So many amazing advices. And it’s very scary. It really hits all our soft spots as well as our confidence system. Most doctors I went thought I was underage despite being in my late 20s. Right now I look like am I twelve, but is also this body that’s taking so much, so I might as well love it too! Going to make the necessary changes and stay in this path. Thank you again! 🫶

Thank you so much for the information and kind message! Reading this transformed how I’ve been viewing my efforts and progress. Guess there’s still a lot to celebrate and also heal 😌  Yes, I’ve been taking it! Just recently started taking a multivitamin supplement and separated vitamin D! I also took chewable Iron polymaltose for ferritin deficiency 2 months ago but was unable to absorb any of it.  Thank you again! Hearing such gentle words from the community makes my body and heart more patient and excited for the future.
