Symptoms Of Gluten

Ok, so this is pretty forward, but I need opinions. I have been diagnosed with Celiac Disease since last summer. I have done everything I can do to get the Gluten out of my diet but every now and then I seem to get sick again. This time I believe it was Carmex and hand lotion. I have since started using Burt's Bees products, which many of them are gluten free.

My bowel movements are looser and smellier than normal. I believe this is because of the gluten contamination I had. How long does it take to get the bowel movements back to normal? I would think that if I get completely off gluten then they should be like they were before this disease manifested itself with symptoms. Am I wrong? Secondly, I think I do respond positively to a gluten free diet since I do not feel that I am malnurished. Anyone else out there with the same problems/questions? Anyone out there who can give me hope or advice?

Did you have your gall bladder remove, because if you did, your bowl movements may never be the same.

Could you possibly be reacting to dairy or soy? Or maybe some other type of food intolerance. It may benefit you to keep a food diary for a while and see if different foods cause different bm's.

Thank you that’s really helpful, hopeful won’t have to have a biopsy.

That means the normal range (i.e. not celiac disease) would be a result less than 14.99.  Your result is WAY above that. Some gastroenterologists would diagnose that as celiac disease even without a confirming biopsy because it is more than ten times the top of the normal range.

Hi everyone. Back in 2022 I had blood work drawn for iga ext gliadin. Since then I’ve developed worse stomach issues and all other health issues. My doctor just said cut out gluten. He did no further testing. Please see my test results attached. I just need some direction cause I feel so ill and the stomach pain is becoming worse. Can this test show indications for other gastrointestinal diseases?

Thank you. These were the results TTG ABS NUMERICAL: > 250.0 U/mL [< 14.99]  Really don’t understand the results!

Clearly from what you've said the info on Dailymed is much more up to date than the other site, which hasn't been updated since 2017. The fact that some companies might be repackaging drugs does not mean the info on the ingredients is not correct.
