Hells Bells Apprentice

I was in a horrid job then Three weeks ago I was offered a new job to start on 28 Febrary. The interviewers said yes you have the job, we agreed a date. I told them I had to give 2 weeks notice to my current employer A week later I called to check everything was ok and they said they were doing the refences , then I get called in for a second interview. Tommorow. No reason given and when I push it is now only a possibility I will start on the 28th. I am now unemployed. I am not even sure I want their job now, I have lost my joy about it. I will be so nervous tommorow and trying not to be hostile and then not to cry until I get to my car.

Why is it so hard, I came to Canada with a skill Canada needed and this is how they thank me. It sucks. I feel like I must be a criminal or something, me the accused. I wonder if tommorow is realy an interview or just a meeting to cover them when they say sorry, see ya.

Thank you for listening. Just what have I done wrong in this world.

I wonder what happened? If it was me, I might start things off by telling them that there must have been a miscommunication. That you thought the job was set and you have already quit your other job. If you can rehearse saying this so it doesn't sound accusatory, that might be good.

If it was me, I would be so preoccupied with that, that I wouldn't be able to focus until I cleared the air. I would also practice because you have to be careful how yo phrase it so you don't accuse them of switching things (which they probably did) and make it seem more like it was your fault that there was a misunderstanding.

I was interviewing and I filled out an application online. I didn't put an end date for my current job because I was still employed. The computer automatically filled in my end date as the date I filled out the application. I went on the interview and they started to check my references. They called my current company to inquire about me saying that I was a former employee since their computer filled in the date saying I had quit weeks ago. I worked for a small company, the owner got mad that I was looking for a job and fired me on the spot. I HAD to take the job with the company that messed up, but kept looking. The job was terrible and a lot less money and thankfully I got something else a few months later.

So, if they still offer you the job, I would take it. If it isn't something that you want, then keep looking - at least you will have a paycheck. Good luck!

I would go into the interview, shake the persons hand and say something to the effect of "I am so looking forward to starting on the 28th, I have gotten everything in order with my former employer and am all set to go. Where do I go my first day, what time do I need to be here and are there any more forms or anything I need to fill out?" Do this with confidence and a smile on your face. Try to think positive, they may have set this appointment up to finish paperwork etc. Try not to think of this as a definate 'I didn't get the job after all' because that may not be the case. Many places have a 2 or even 3 step process to hiring. Good luck and I hope it works out but if it doesn't sometimes bad things can turn out good, if something happens with this job there is bound to be one even better waiting for you.

That is very strange, I would also try get in touch with them and ask if there was miscommunication. Something is strange though, if you had the job at the interview...why bother checking for references...odd. Let us know how you make out.

Well I went to the second interview. They said my references were glowing and that they were just concerned about my style of communication. What a load of bull. Basically they are interviewing others this week and will tell me at the end of this week if I have the job. Thats after last interview tehm saying you are suitable for the job and agreeing a start date. I directly challenged them at the end of the interview and they changed the subject.

So its down to the temp agency on thurs to try and find any job to pay the morgage.

Thank you all for your encouragment, I am sure that this has happened for a reason, I smell God plotting.

Do you or anyone know alot about ibuprofen  I wasn't sure if I was eating too much apple sauce.   Something is making my pain so much worse  I'm referring to the intense pins and needles in my feet and lower legs.  Jaw actually has tardive dystonia and muscle spasms throughout my back Almost like an opposite effect that a pain reliever would do. I'm fairly new to this. Whatever is going on seems to be worsening  Do people get a withdrawal effect from gluten?  It's extremely painful 😖  I'll post that question or research on the site  Thank you everyone for responding

I think I found a huge culprit for severe reactions to create worsening of my c symptoms. Do people with celiac have sensitivity and /or have opposite reaction to certain medications Where can I find a list ?  I'm new here I'm.wondering why I am getting worse when I take certain medicine...the burning feet.  Rebound muscle pain so intense  How many people get opposite effects or have a horrible attack after these meds

Does anyone know if that includes scrambled eggs and healthy smart butter (,gluten free) I add a very tiny amount of margarine less than a teaspoon.  I did no't have any bread    It just seems like no matter what I eat my stomach and nerves over fire and here comes a host of horrible symptoms. My lower abdomen feels horrible, my right leg thigh muscle.. very odd. Jaw pain. Burning feet , joint pain , you name it  The anxiety just creeps up into brain fog. I don't think I could explain this to anyone who is unfamiliar.  Also,  I most likely will not remember posting this until I check it.  This is highly unusual for me because I have an excellent memory.  One weekend before I knew anything about celiac I lost an entire weekend from severe brain fog, confusion, pain, etc.  I honestly thought I was losing my mind. When I think back I recall eating a lot of PBJ sandwiches and turkey sandwiches.  Once again did not know about gluten.  I was just too sick to cook. Do people fast during attacks ?? It seems horrible to keep going through this. I hope I'm not causing my own problems... I wonder if I should fast because I'm not eating gluten .  Chicken ,  scrambled eggs no milk , canned carrots,  gluten free low sugar low fat Greek yogurt which I already posted about 😞 Any suggestions I am open... I am bedridden when this happens to me.  Thank you Celiac community. 🙏🏻❤️

Yeah, that sounds super familiar. When inflammation levels are high — especially at the start of changing your diet — the body often develops a fructose and lactose intolerance. Unfortunately, the only thing that really helps is cutting out anything that isn’t lactose-free or that contains sugar. So basically, stick to meat, veggies, fish…
