Need Help With Senior Ad! Got Teenagers?

I need to get a senior ad (those ads they sell to parents for the back of the school yearbook) mailed in within the next couple days and I'm having a hard time coming up with something to write in it. Originally we were going to use the Winston Churchill quote "Success is a journey, not a destination." but I just really don't like it for my daughter. Today I came up with "You may be growing up, but you'll never outgrow our hearts!", but that's pretty sappy, so I don't know.

She's going off to college in the fall, undecided about what she wants to do. She's a good kid (and our only one), really never gave us any trouble. Likes the band Alkaline Trio, so a cool qoute from one of their songs would be good.

I know some kids don't like the senior ads, but my daughter loves the attention. She's one of the ones that likes to have flowers delivered to her at school on her birthday.

If you have high-schoolers could you look in the back of their yearbooks at the senior ads and see if any parents came up with a good quote or something clever?? OR ask your teens what they would like to see written there.

Thanks!!

If you have more of a 'fun' relationship and want to avoid something sappy, what about: ""Today is your day! Your mountain is waiting. So... get on your way." - Dr. Seuss

Then maybe add something about a childhood memory?

"Once you make a decision, the universe conspires to make it happen."

-Ralph Waldo Emerson

That one is nice, too.

Adding a memory that will make her laugh would probably be something she would like. Congrats to her!

I haven't had teenagers for more than 20 years, but congratulations ... it's an exciting time to see your child graduate!

Personally, I love my signature at the end of my posts.

"The calm river of your life approaches the rocky chute of the rapids - flow on through. You are the same water. The rocks cannot hurt you. Remember, now and then, that you are the water and not the boat. Flow on!

I don't know if this will work, but its a pretty good song quote under any circumstances:

"Don't let us get sick,

Don't let us get old,

Don't let us get stupid, alright?

Just make us be brave,

And make us play nice,

And let us be together tonight."

The Lindt (Lindor) dairy-free oat milk truffles are definitely gluten-free, and (last time I checked) so are the white chocolate truffles and the mint chocolate truffles.

I've used magnesium taurinate and magnesium taurate vitamins.  Didn't notice much of a difference when I used them.

More great tips, and a good excuse to shop at M&S and also buy more iced buns!   I wish we had an ASDA near us, as the few times we've been to one their gluten-free pasta range seemed very reasonably priced compared to other shops.  Thanks so much, @Russ H.
