I recently discovered a dairy free "milk chocolate" made with rice milk. Yummy, and first it was fine, but now they added a cross contamination warning on the package - about milk! How insane is that? :angry: Well, I figured since it was labelled dairy free that they would be pretty careful with cleaning between batches, and besides, it's the only chocolate of it's kind I know, and I've been telling myself that I really like dark chocolate better but THAT'S NOT TRUE. :P So I've had it every now and then even so. And tonight I hit the jackpot. :angry:

I just bit my husbands head off, and now my stomach is busy swelling to enormous proportions and it's starting to feel pretty uncomfortable! Aaargh! At least I have the next two days off since Monday is a holiday...

I sympathize. My reactions to casein are actually worse than to gluten.

I guess you will have to come to believe, like many of us, that dark chocolate IS chocolate. Milk chocolate is merely candy.

      Thoughts? Non-endoscopic Celiac diagnosis in two year old

      Okay that is really good to know. So with that being positive and the other being high it makes sense she diagnosed her even without the endoscopy. So glad we caught it early. She had so many symptoms though that to me it was clear something was wrong. yeah I think we had better test us and the other kids as well.

      @GlorietaKaro, your respiratory reactions to gluten make me wonder if there might also be an allergic (anaphylaxis) component at work here.

In the meantime, I will carry on has I have been— it’s working! Thanks also for the validation— sometimes I just feel crushed by disbelief. Not enough to make me eat gluten though—
