I have eaten at Freemason Abby and they were very easy to work with.

Unfortunately, I can tell you where NOT to eat.

I was going to go on the Spirit of Norfolk Dinner Cruise. I called ahead and explained that I had celiac sprue disease and could not eat wheat or gluten. The cruise has a dinner buffet. This particular night the buffet choices were pasta or stuffed meats (all of the stuffing was bread). Their desserts were all pies and cakes.

The business office told me that they did "not like to prepare special meals." When I asked if I could bring my own dinner, they told me absolutely not. For health reasons no passangers can bring food onto the ship. They told me that they would make me a fruit bowl. Wow! A fruit bowl for $70.

They were completely insensitive and in my opinion unprofessional. I did not go on the cruise but since I had already bought my ticket I was out $70. They would not refund my money.

If you have any food allergies at all, stay away from the Spirit of Norfolk.

The Lindt (Lindor) dairy-free oat milk truffles are definitely gluten-free, and (last time I checked) so are the white chocolate truffles and the mint chocolate truffles.

I've used magnesium taurinate and magnesium taurate vitamins.  Didn't notice much of a difference when I used them.

More great tips, and a good excuse to shop at M&S and also buy more iced buns!   I wish we had an ASDA near us, as the few times we've been to one their gluten-free pasta range seemed very reasonably priced compared to other shops.  Thanks so much, @Russ H.
