Ok I have been seeing people talk about detoxing for the gluten please help me to understand what everybody is talking about. I usually look here while at work and really don't have much time to read and process what is being said, I don't have a computer at home to take the time. So please let me know what am I expecting to feel from eliminating gluten from my diet.

For me it was nausea for a good month or so. Others say fatigue. Hopefully others will answer. It will go away though.

Hi Donna -

Everyone is different, so you may feel what others do, or you may not. I was SOOOOO bad off!! It does take a bit of time - ( it took me weeks to notice any change) some even say then after 4 to 6 weeks you have a reccurence - and even some more allergies show up. Some people never experience any problems at all - even though the gluten is doing major harm.

Bloating

gas

bubbly, foggy, cloudy bm's

I felt extremely hungry - which before I did not even want to eat.

I was tired all the time -

major brain fog -

headaches -

body aches-

But, I now drink a detox tea - love it - I drink it once a day - has helped my get over a lot of my brain fog issues - even if I accidentally get glutened. I take great vitamin supplements, and drink a vitamin protein drink - once a day pro-biotic - I also elimminated all lotions, soaps, make-up and shampoos that had gluten in them too - and feel so much better - People see me now and can't get over I was the same person they saw months ago - I seriously looked like walking death.

I will send some good thoughts your way - stick with it - you will feel better in the long run!

Hi.

I had some headaches, but most important as soon as I stopped the ingestions of gluten and dairy in few days I noticed a change in me. Now I had been 3 months in the diet, and I am a new person, I'm beginning not to be afraid of food or eating anymore. I was very tired at the beginning, I had to take the vitamins twice a day in order to function.

Best of lucks to you. You will be okay, in a few weeks you will forget and your body will appreciate the change tremendously.

Best regards to you, and remember we are here to help, support, and most important to listen, when you feel tired start writing.

Take care.

After waisted time of new care team, yet again EXHAUSTED saw new gi today in Modesto, though all my ailments im not getting any kind of concern of me being celiac and sentive to just about everything since menopause. Dr daid why don't I go see you guys because my blood shows zero for celiac. I told him im glutenfree since 1994 by colonoscopy with biopsy positive celiac sprue by GI.Its RIDICULOUS when im bringing in material from this site of knowledge as well as the autoimmune institute, and  there's zero interest on their part.Medical IS causing me depression.Im view as a disability chaser, IM STILL RECOVERING from being a bus driver that im still healing and having more issues, now I may have multiple sclerosis or meningioma. Ive reached out, wrote letters, NOT feeling well. This is inhumane.

I was taking medicine for sibo but it was not agreeing with my stomach at all.Was on gabapentin but it amps me up.I was taking in morning because it wasn't allowing me to sleep. This has always been an issue with medicine and me.Even going to dentist, the good shot that numbs you once, I can't take because it makes my heart beat fast and I  get the shakes.I have to take the crappy stuff and get injected always more than 4 times always. Its infuriating

I showed one doctor I went to once because completely clueless of celiac disease and yes that one was connected to a well known hospital and she said oh thats just a bunch of people that think they are celiac coming together. I said um no they have doctors and knowledge behind what is being written. So bay area is Downplaying this site! SADLY

If you successfully digest gluten with enzyme supplements so it won’t give you side effects, your challenge won’t be worthwhile because the digested fragments of gluten also won’t stimulate antibody production or cause intestinal damage.
