New Gluten Free Cider!

I am always on the lookout for more drinking options other than wine or mixed drinks. There is something about drinking out of a bottle at a bar, I miss it so much! I am a huge fan of Magner's the Irish Cider, but I was pleasantly surprised to learn that Harpoon, the proud makers of a good IPA and UFO, and brewed locally in Boston, have made their very own cider! It's gluten free, I checked on the website, and I actually tried it yesterday at a local pub, who had it on draft! I didnt love it as much as Magner's, and it reminded me a lot of Strongbow in looks alone. The apple taste was sort of faint too, but overall its great to have another option out there, and one from a mainstream brewer.

I thought all apple cider was gluten-free...

I just cracked open my first Harpoon cider. I used to love UFO, so I had high hopes, also I'm hoping that they'll carry this in all of the local Boston bars like they do with the other Harpoon stuff. I really like it. It's much milder than other ciders. It reminds me a bit of Original Sin cider out of NYC. I could drink more than one of these (and shall try tonite! :P ) and I can't say the same for Magners.

Give it a try if you see it! Also, thanks for the tip!!

      I saw the thing for testing for gluten when at public places.I absolutely love but I wonder if they would come up with a bracelet or necklace that can detect gluten in the air.I would LOVE that, i know i get debilitating migraine from smelling gluten wheat what have you, all I know is when I go into places like Chevron- gluten Subway, migraine, Costco that...

      Thank you so much for your help, @trents and @Staticgypsy! I so appreciate your thoughts. My diet is high in foods with oxalates and I don’t notice any issues there. If eliminating gluten from my diet had changed anything I’d be happy to just keep on the gluten-free diet, but with eating gluten several times with no rash, and having a rash when I was man...

      I saw the thing for testing for gluten when at public places.I absolutely love but I wonder if they would come up with a bracelet or necklace that can detect gluten in the air.I would LOVE that, i know i get debilitating migraine from smelling gluten wheat what have you, all I know is when I go into places like Chevron- gluten Subway, migraine, Costco that food smell of nasty gluten- migraine and same with Walmart subway.I absolutely HATE im that sensitive, my body reacts.Sadly medical hasn't taken core issue of celiac being an issue considering glutenfree ever since 1994 and in their eyes not because they didn't diagnose me. I am and wish I wasn't. If there was a detector of gluten in the air it would make a world of difference.
