I am planning to start EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) psychotherapy very shortly in dealing with anxiety issues. I would like to know if there are others who have tried this method and the results achieved.

I had it done a number of years ago to deal with my mother's death when I was a child. It was easy, painless, and the result is that I can now discuss my mother and her death without bursting into tears. I highly recommend it!

EMDR is great! I use it whenever I go through an anxious period. I'm a visual person so I have a lot of images come up for me during sessions. Those images help calm me down when the anxiety rises. Please share your experience if you feel like it.

Your response on this matter is what I expect. You’ve had a similar episode years ago, but this one is lasting longer!

I'd like to clarify: Is the pain you describe in the area just below your chest constant, or does it only appear when you start moving?

Thank you for the links to the articles.  Interesting reading. I'll be telling my brother in law because he has a lot of pain
