Mac and Cheese

8 oz of velveeta (more if you want it super cheesey)

3/4 of a bag of elbow macaroni(I used corn and it was about 2.5 C)

3 T butter

1/4 C milk(more if you want it really creamy)

Make elbow mac and drain. Add other ingredients and mix until melted.

I also added keibasa(sp?) pc's to mine.

It was yummy...I haven't had mac and cheese since I was dx'd

I usually make a cheese sauce- melt butter in a pan, add flour (rice works well) and stir with a whisk til the flour cooks, then slowly add milk, then melt in cheese after the white sauce is made. Sometimes I add in some spices with the flour, other times I add in spices after the sauce is thickened. What I like about this method is that I can use natural cheese, rather than the processed stuff like velveeta. Velveeta isn't kosher anyway.

I like my homemade baked mac & cheese with milk and cheese and butter and rice noodles. Mmmmm.... I don't even like conventional mac & cheese anymore.

      Thanks rmj when I first rang up it was we can't do it without , but I talked to a lovely lady and she sorted it all out for me, so it pays to be persistent , I would have had to decline if I hadn't been given the water option too , so yes I'm glad too 😌

      Had my MRI today I didn't have to have the manitol with my allergy's , I just had a litre of water , they were great with my concerns , so let's see if anything comes of if will keep posted once I have results 👍

      Thank you ,it’s been a long road for me for having both now ,what upsets the most is that if they discovered that I also have cealiac earlier I would not have injested gluten if I was aware. Double whammy.
