Dial Soap

Hello,

I switched to Dove Soap shortly after going gluten free and the rash I've had all my life on my upper back completely went away.

I ran out of Dove and found an old bar of Dial, not sure what kind because it was a 6 pack and the big package was thrown out long ago. I now have 3 huge itchy bumps that I believe must be DH. They take forever to heal and burn and itch and are worse now than I think they ever were in the past.

Is there a Dial gluten free list? I'm trying to figure out what has caused this recent breakout.

I don't know if Dial is safe (I'm too new to all of this), but Dial drives me crazy. Growing up, all I could use was Dove or Ivory (but Ivory dries your skin a little much for my taste), or I would be itching all over. Even if the soap isn't effecting you via gluten, some soaps have very harsh perfumes that can really affect someone with allergies. Good luck!!

I don't have DH so am only concerned with what I ingest. But, we have used Dial for decades. I like an antibacterial deoderant soap with a mild scent. Can't stand Irish Spring or Ivory type soaps, I almost can't breathe using them.

There are 17 ingredients listed on the package of Dial Clean & Refresh (rinses clean without drying skin) Spring Water. None sound like a gluten containing ingredient. Also, it's more reasonably priced than many others. "I'm glad I use Dial"!

It's driving me crazy right now too.Maybe it is the perfume because after using Dove for 2 days I feel a little better already.

Thank you lm. It's probably something else like the perfume in the soap. If the Pink Dove I'm using now doesn't work I'll have to try the unscented one for sensitive skin.

Joni, Get yourself some Everyday African Soap! or perhaps consider adding a Grapefruit Lime Peppermint Cleansing Bar to your cart.....

Just kidding...I don't know anything about dial, sorry (but I've heard others complain about it here). I do like Kiss My Face olive oil soap though. It has like two ingredients. Hope your itchiness gets better soon.

You can find it at most health food stores, or if your drug store has a "natural" section, you can usually find it there (I've found it at CVS and Longs). It's seriously an awesome soap, and very inexpensive. I use it on my face and one bar lasts forever.

Ooooooh, I found Kiss My Face in Shoprite today! I knew they had a section with healthy soaps, etc and I found it there. I also found out all of Toms of Maine products are gluten free except 2! They are listed on their website and Shoprite has a rather large area with a ton of these products.

I'm doing the happy dance!!!
