Dining Out In Arizona

Last week I went to "Skye" in Arizona, I believe it was in Peoria, which is close to Scottsdale and Pheonix and definitely worth the drive.

It is a supper club that plays Frank Sinatra and has live entertainment most nights of the week, very classy and a nice place to go for a romantic date or great cocktails.

Our server, Frank, had the chef come out and speak to me. He said, "please order anything off my menu, and I will make sure that it is gluten-free for you; whatever you want. You can count that it will be safe and delicious."

So I ordered the pecan chicken (with no pecans). IT WAS SO MOUTH WATERING! So yummy! It was chicken with carmelized cocktail onions served over a bed of cinnamon and caramel baked apples, with a side of a plain baked potato. It was the most amazing meal I've had in months. It's been so long since I have had so much FLAVOR! On top of that, the chef made me a special dessert on the house! 3 flavors of rich sorbet (no dairy, woo hoo!) covered in chopped strawberries, blueberries, mangoes, and kiwi, topped with edible sugar confetti! It was amazing. I was so satisfied. PLEASE, if you are in that area, go there! Request Frank for your server.

That's so cool! When I get special treatment like that, I try to send a thank you note to the owner or head chef--I figure it ups my chances (and all of yours, too) for getting good treatment like that in the future.
