i just had a series of blood tests, my IGG was at 36 and then an endoscopy biopsy was negative and the doctors have NO answers other than to take probiotics...

does anyone have experience with this? It is so FRUSTRATING!

Yep.

All my other tests were within range, some on the high side of "normal." My antigliadin IgG - however, was 67 - the negative reference range is less than 11.

My allergist informed me that there was no reason to follow a gluten free diet.

My GI - on the other hand - said it was definitely worth further investigation.

Endoscopy/biopsies were normal - 100%.

I was advised to *try* removing gluten from my diet to see if it made any difference. It has. A lot.

A month after I'd gone gluten-free, I had the blood tests run over again... because my allergist insisted that they ran the wrong tests. They ran the SAME tests over again, but included the total serum IgA - which was forgotten the first time. After a month of being gluten-free - my antigliadin IgG's had dropped down to 40-something.

At that time, my allergist acknowledged that I "might" have an issue with gluten, and should stick to the lifestyle.

I totally understand how frustrating it is. And, there are MANY of us here in the same boat.

My dd just got diagnosed a couple weeks ago. Her IGG levels showed she could have Celiac, but her biopsy was in normal levels. He said that she has gluten sensitivity and has not technically diagnosed her with Celiac yet, but he still told us to cut out gluten from her diet. And ever since we did that, she has been so much happier than she has been in a long time.

I had and initial Igg of 39 and all other tests came in within normal limit. I have been mostly gluten-free for the last 2 years and I notice definate differances in my levels of energy when I stick with gluten-free and have a rash that appears within hours of a cheeting experience.

BTW, we've done other articles on this topic that I wanted to share here (not to condone smoking!):

Hi everyone  This has been a crazy year so far... How many people actually get entire sensory overload from gluten or something similar ?  My jaw is going nuts ..and that nerve is affecting my upper back and so on ...  Bones even hurt.  Brain fog. Etc  I had eggs seemed fine.   Then my aid cooked a chicken stir fry in the microwave because my food order shorted a couple key items .   I was so hungry but I noticed light breading and some ingredients with SOY !!! Why are we suffering with soy ? This triggered a sensitivity to bananas and gluten-free yogurt it seems like it's a cycle that it goes on.  The tiniest amount of something gets me I'm guessing the tiny bit of breading that I took one tiny nibble of ...yikes ..im cringing from it .. Feels like my stomach is going to explode yet still very hungry 😔  How long does this last?! Thank you so much

This is an older article, but may be helpful.

I have had orthodontic work done. The 3M invisalign material was no problem. BUT my retainers are another matter. They seemed okay for a few months. Now, however, they cause a burning sensation on my tongue, gums and insides of my lips. The burning sensation is now spreading to my throat. I notice it when I breathe. This is annoying and interferes with my enjoyment of eating. I am visiting with my provider tomorrow. We'll see where this goes from here.

Exactly which blood tests were done? There are a few different ones and some docs don't do them all. Also, your results and reference ranges for each?
